Hi, i brought an i stick 30w a couple a months ago and paired it with a nautilus mini.Which is great, but i wouldn't mind getting into sub ohming and dripping. Yes i know that the 30w can sub ohm and made it one of my deciding choices when buying it. But my question is what next. I've asked around all my local shops and can't get a clear answer in what to do next.Drip, or tank.? If so which tank or dripper? Its got me in a conundrum and asking if i picked up the right mod for my needs. I based my decision on the factors of size, practicality, features, affordability. Is bigger and more powerful better monsters the best way to go (obviously yes i know the answer i'm not stupid lol) But seriously any ideas what i can do next. Any and all suggestions most appreciated. Also mod suggestions appreciated too.
thanks folks

Well I will not recommend an istick 50w and get jumped on :D A better quality regulated mod is what I would recommend vs an unregulated one. More safeties in the regulated ones and you can adjust your power for you coil/device. On an unregulated one you must adjust your coil for best results a more difficult thing to do esp if you use different devices on it.
You can also get regulated mods with replaceable batteries so you do not have to toss the mod when the battery eventually goes bad.

Kanger Subtank Mini. It comes with a 1.2 ohm, and a .5 ohm premade coil. Both of these can be purchased if you don't care for the coil building aspect of sub ohms. It also comes with a rebuild deck (coiled to .5 ohm but not wicked) that you can use to build your own coils. The tank has a 4.5 ml capacity which is nice but you will also go through juices faster the more power you use to fire your vape.

If you do decide to use the rebuild deck for your own coils you might be interested to look for a you tube video of the "Vertical" coil build for the deck.

I still use my Nautilus Mini's but I am loving the Subtank even using the 1.2 ohm OCC coils.

so no dripper just tank. i would like the ability to drip. Am i being a dumb *** for thinking this or thick headed and not getting the point.

This will be somewhat of a gross generalization, but there's two common ways to go with sub-ohm. The first is to get something with a tank, such as the Subtank Mini or Lemo 2. These offer a lot of convenience with respect to e-liquid capacity, but they're not problem free. Thick VG doesn't always work well with tank designs and they're not ideal for learning how to build coils. The other option is to get something like the Magma, which doesn't have a tank and is very easy to learn on when it comes to building coils. Also, if you want to taste juices before putting them in a tank, something like the Magma is perfect for tasting. It has enough capacity for a vaping session and can easily be re-wicked if desired.

So if you want to learn to build coils (which by the way is easy to do with the Coilmaster), I'd highly recommend a Magma style RDA, such as the Infinite clone that goes by Lava:
