I haven't even received the latest PV I ordered, but as I've read through (and answered some) questions in the Newbie forum, I talked myself into a VV device - if I could find one that didn't bug me. I've spent the last couple of days reading through reviews of variable voltage devices, and finally stumbled across the ProVari - and I was sold! I placed my order last night.
I love the features. It's the 21st century, no one should be relying on a pot and a screwdriver to adjust voltage. I really like that it uses PWM to trim things out, and most of the reviews I've seen mention what I expected: that with PWM you can effectively vape at a lower voltage setting than with a pot. PWM is more efficient and the batteries should last longer than a resistance-based adjustment. And the display to actually see the voltage is one of those things that just make sense. The other features (resistance of the element, etc.) are just icing on the cake. I'm pumped, and I can't - OK, I can, but I don't want to - wait until mine gets here.
I'm tired of trying to find the right heating element to match the flavor I'm vaping now on a fixed voltage device. I find one that works great with my menthol, but then it's too hot for my Raspberry Truffle. What works on the Raspberry Truffle doesn't work with the Green Apple. Being able to adjust the power feed to match the current atomizer/cartomizer and juice is exactly what I've been looking for.
Now my only stress will be waiting for it to get here, and then - OMG! What if something happens to it? Could I go back to fixed voltage?
