can anyone tell me the best voltage to use on this set up.
No. No one can tell you that, because the only person who's in a position to know that is you. It's going to depend not just on the hardware you are using, but also on the "software" (i.e. e-liquid), your style of vaping, and also personal preference i.e. what you like and don't like. And what you like and don't like will not necessarily be the same as what I like and don't like, or what anyone else likes or dislikes. What we can tell you is what we tell everyone else: start low, and work your way up until you find a voltage or wattage that you like. If you experience a burnt or dry hit, back it down a little and stay there. That's really all we can tell, you, "try it and find out," because your sweet spot will not necessarily be the same as anyone else's sweet spot.

Whilst you should choose for yourself, I can safely say too low can lead to problems (flooding, gurgling) and too high... well... too high is bad news.
A week is about right, maybe 10 days, maybe even two weeks with a really clean juice.
I would not run the 1.8ohm more than 14w, with 50/50 liquid and not more than 16w with higher PG (70/30)
