Uh yeah, I'm able to multitask in my brain. I was also concerned the fever and throwing up was because I had nicotine on my lips when I kissed him and I got him sick? That wasn't the case, just a little viral thing. So, back to how kool I am....

Somethings not right here. Firstly, purchasing a Luci brand starter kit at a Waterbeds store, then this...

I don't feel "cool" at all, but the oddest thing is that I vape more out in public (in the car, outside a restaurant/movie), hoping and hoping that Smokers will think it's cool enough to get interested enough to research it. They watch in bewilderment, but haven't approached me as of yet. That bewilderment is the first step towards research though. ::: pat self on back ::::

I'm walking down the street today with my ecig clenched in my teeth. I have the flat tip cartridge in and I'm using my Brand Diablo black and gold auto battery so I'm just puffing away with my hands in my pocket. The atomizer has gold flames around it so it's a shiny sort of spiffy. Plus, I have the vape hanging around around my mouth and eyes and I'm not squinting like weirdo or trying not to breath it since it's just vapor. And yea, I gotta admit, I felt pretty cool. But that's because I don't mind making a scene for someone to stare perplexed at. I often welcome it.

I hope it never becomes "cool" to vape. That is one of the justifications New York is using to ban e-cigs. I keep it pretty much on the DL unless I'm in my local bar where the know I'm not cool.

Yes, but think about what they are saying and you are presuming is okay. Banning something because it's deemed a "cool" act that resembles an unhealthy act? So would you permit the passing of a ban of drinking Yoohoo out of a paper bag because it might look like vodka in there and drinking in public is illegal and unsafe? If it becomes faddish before people have time to see it in public and hear from educated users, then it might get made illegal in a rush, but that's a risk and not the way things are supposed to work in free countries.

There should be significant and factual reasons for limiting any person's rights to do as they choose without harm to others. You should resist anything else and not simply give into it.

I felt so much shame using analogs in public, mostly because of how people reacted when I did smoke in places that it was allowed, like my car. The last time I smoked in my car was after hearing a women in the car next to me yell out "thanks for the cancer". It was a humiliating moment and I didn't smoke in my car after that. I think that's why I feel so good about vaping in public and wanting people to see me do it. I think that's why I feel so "kool", nobody can put me down for this, if anything people should be proud of the healthy switch.

I know exactly how you feel. Definitely get the whole shame and embarassment thing and why you feel so 'kool' now. I feel the same way. Feels great.

I guess I'd rather recognize it for the addiction that it is, rather that try to wrap glamour/style/coolness around what is otherwise a bad habit. Remember it's the tobacco companies that used glamorized smoking as a marketing strategy. Not that it's uncommon mind you. Ever see a car advertised with a beautiful model? Anyway... I'd rather not make it "cool" or anything like that. It is an addiction after all. I think it is better a "harm reduction device" for us hopelessly addicted ex-smokers, than a "cool" thing.

I hear you but they were happier taking your $14 to $42 a week until you die...
