So for Christmas my girlfriend got me the Atlantis tank. She bought it from fasttech (Hate that place, will never buy from again). It said authentic in the description.

Anyways,, The tank will not tighten all the way. When I try to tighten it, it will get a little tight, then I continue to twist it and it becomes loose again. So it just keeps twisting and twisting repeating the processes and never tightens completely...

I have had no issues with it though I just twist it until it is at the spot where it is somewhat tight, so I decided to stick with this one. I didn't want to use the warranty because fasttech took FOREVER to ship it, and I could only imagine how long it would take to perform a warranty swap..

Well, now that I look at it, the glass kind of sits crooked on the bottom piece, so it looks a little funky. It is still fully functional, it just wont tighten all the way and looks weird. Also, when I pull the mouth piece off, it will pull the glass up and become loose again.

So my question is, WHY? What is wrong with this tank? Can I replace part of it without replacing the entire tank? I don't want to have to completely replace a present.

Any help is appreciated.

Sounds like the threads are stripped in the base or in the chimney. When you insert the coil into the base and twist, does that ever tighten all the way? If not, try screwing the coil into the chimney and not the base. Does that tighten all the way? If those screw in and stop, it sounds like you just got a bum clearomizer and should return. Otherwise, if it's the base, I know you can buy a new one for $14 from Aspire. Of course, vapenw.com has them for 19.99 for the whole setup.

Sounds like it got cross-threaded, most likely on the chimney/coil head section. Try using another coil, see if that helps. Best bet for a quick fix if the chimney threads are shot is to just buy the ~$12 Atlantis 5ML tank upgrade, which includes a new chimney.

Where can i find the 5ML upgrade? Edit, nvm, found them. :p Just nervous that it is the base though. Oh and I have replaced coils, nothing changed.

The coils do tighten all the way on both sides. So you're saying it is the base if the coils can tighten on both sides?

FastTech is notorious for saying things are 'Authentic', but in reality you end up getting a cheap copy.

Hate to say it, but toss it and find a reputable reseller, or buy directly from Aspire.

And I've said this before, and I'll say it again, and again. Be wary of resellers that sell stuff below wholesale. The wholesale cost of an Atlantis tank is $26 USD (Aspire Atlantis : Aspire wholesale)
