I think I may have killed a couple of atomisers...

Hallo. So, I got two atomisers with my starter kit, which arrived three weeks ago, and one with some liquid that arrived yesterday. The two that came three weeks ago are not working now. They both crapped out on me last night. At least, I think they did. The battery lights up, the air whistles through the e-cig (a little too freely) and absolutely no vapour comes out. But if I blow on the atomiser, I can see the heating element thing glowing orange, but still no vapour even if I drip some liquid onto the wick thingie.

Have I killed my atomisers or is there something I can do about this?

If they are glowing, then they are not dead.

Maybe it's the battery (Just because the LED lights up, doesn't mean the battery is working).

Can you try with other batteries?
I checked all three atomisers with the same battery. The one that I got yesterday works grand, the other two don't work at all.

I think it may have something to do with my experimentations with dripping last night. But I drained them overnight, and they're still not giving me vapour.

But yeah, I'm pretty sure it's not the battery.

If there was a problem with the battery i doubt the atty would be glowing, you said the air goes through a little too freely, can you check to see if the cart was damaged and perhaps you sucking air through a crack before the atty. Also what model e-cig are you using, perhaps someone else may have had this same problem.

Well, assuming the attys aren't flooded (and if you've blown out/drained them, then they obviously aren't) then it must be a connection problem (since as I said, if they are glowing, then they are working).

Try cleaning the connections (some tissue paper or cotton buds wiped around the threads - preferably with some clear alcohol or distilled water, if available).

If that doesn't work, there sometimes can be an issue with the post 'dropping' a tiny bit so that the centre of the atty and the centre of the battery do not ake a good clean connection. What e-cig are you using?

Doh! I am beig stupid this morning.... of course they wouldn't be glowing if the battery wasn't activating them! (My excuse is that I've been on some nasty medication recently following an injury and my brain is a bit befuddled!)

It's an Evo.

I'm using the same cart and the same battery. One atomiser works perfectly, the other two are doing nothing.

EDIT: No, wait, just got one working again...I think...

Snap! I have one atty that just point blank refuses to work with 2 of my batteries although it works fine with others, and that is because of a 'clean connection' issue, but I am really at a loss to explain how the attys can be glowing (ie activating) and not produce any vapour..... unless they are too dry after their overnight drain?

That could well be it. I think I may have overfilled them, or overdone something, last night. So I gave them the best drain I possibly could.

Stick a cart on the atty and stand it up somewhere (atty down) for the next ten minutes or so. You shouldn't flood the atty doing that, but it ill give the atty a chance to suck up the liquid it needs.

I would strongly suggest not continuing to try and get them to work atm if there is the slightest chance that they are too dry (that's the quickest way to kill an Evo atty!!!!)

Welcome to the world of the "e-cig learning curve" LOL It gets even better, just dont give up. In no time you will be an expert with the model you have and you will know when something is about to go wrong and fix it...or not lol Its a crap shoot but its worth it
