I think I need a dial type VV mod with a tank and atty, but not carto

I have tried to sort all this out. What I do know:

1. I like my Ego-T Low Resistance atty with the Type B tank better than I like it with a carto and better than I like my Go-Go with the carto.

2. My cinnamon juice tastes better in the Go-Go, the others taste better in my EGo-T LR. Some taste better with Ego-T PT with LR atty. Some have no taste with either. None of them seem to have the flavor that other people speak of.

3. It seems I don't like any delivery device that has a filler in it.

4. I have 4 Ego-T batteries and 4 LR attys. Today I had one of the batteries on and my Fruit Stripe Gum tasted better than ever. I had to change it out to a diff battery and it lost most of its flavor. I'm not sure what this means, except maybe the second one was running hotter or not as hot or something.

5. I seem to have really bad tastebuds, so I'm thinking if I had a VV with a dial on it I could find the best spot for different juices without having to change batteries.

I have tried to match up different mods to my wants, but I am having a hard time with it.

Basically, I think I want something like the Ego-T, tank, LR with VV that can be changed quickly to find the sweet spot. Can I get something like this?

Buzz Pro will be out in about 2 wks. It's vv and has a small wheel to adj the voltage. With a 510 extender you can use ego T attys on it Notcigs

The Alli VV has a dial. It is a bottom feeder. I use it with atties, not sure if it would work with carton.

You could go with a Darwin and that would take care of the needing to change out atties quickly to find the sweet spot. The Darwin allows the user to dial in the Watts rather than dialing in the voltage.

Here are some other things you might want to consider before making such a relatively expensive investment:

Different atomizers, including the same atomizers with different ohms, are going to change the way your juice will taste. I use 510, 808 and 901 atomizers in both LR and HV. These different atomizers all have very different effects on vapor production and taste. Even the design of some atomizers has the same effect; your eGo T atties aren't exactly the same as any other 510, so this will have an impact. The Go-Go cartos aren't exactly the same as any other carto, so they also make an impact on which flavors come out well and which ones don't.

Battery voltage in conjuction with the atomizer will either dull, enhance or ruin (due to "burning") flavors. If the battery you switched to wasn't fully charged or just runs at a lower voltage, that might be why the flavor seemed to be lost.

WomanofHeart your post made me realize that the solution is not as simple as just getting a dial for VV.

I'd do a search for "ego booster" on the forums. Or check out happy Vaper in the supplier forums. New product but basically turns your existing ego batteries into a VV PV without the huge investment of going to a provari or Darwin. Worth a shot

I use LR 510 and 808 cartos from IkenVape. These do have filler, but they're the best cartos that I've ever used. I don't think they change the taste at all and they've proven to be very durable as far as cartos go.

I'm glad that you're giving more consideration to VV mods. I'd hate for you, or anyone for that matter, to make such an investment lightly without giving it some thought. I've been considering a VV mod for quite some time, but I haven't made a decision yet. I want to really make sure that the VV I do buy is going to be the absolute right choice for me and that I know how to get the most out of it first.

I use a ProVari (VV) with MAP Tank (5ml tank based off CE2, no filler) and it works quite well. Provape (makers of ProVari) also sell an adapter so your ego tank atty will fit on the ProVari (costs a couple bucks).

I also got in on the pre-order (#71) of the Eclipse, which has an auto-drip system... will let everyone know what I think when I get it (they said they should start shipping at the end of the month).

Regarding putting Ego Tanks on a mod. I believe you would be looking for an 510 -> Ego Adapter. The tanks screw on the outside threads peculiar to the Ego.

Exactly, all you need is a supply of atties and your good. If your looking for more throat hit and flavor than I would suggest a 306 LR 2.0 or 1.5. I was and am still a ego-t type B fanatic/supporter but I upgraded to a REO. Which holds more juice and lasts just as long (mini with 3ml capacity) or longer (grand with 6ml capacity).

You also get a little bit more flavor and throat hit. I still think that the tanks bring out some flavors that other atties just can't but if your looking for a decent improvement. Than that's what I suggest. The grand actually lets you go from 3.7 all the way to 7 volts by simply changing batteries.

Reo's cost a bit more but it's worth it IMO since it's going to last for a WHILE.

I use tank attys on my Buzz. I use a 510 shorty adapter. They have them at mad vapes for $1.99. I love my Buzz. I have had a provari, glv2 and a glv2 mini. I sold them all. None of them hit like my Buzz. I can't wait for the Buzz Pro and the Infinity Pro.

When I was using my KR808D-1, I was so happy it got me off the cigs. But the battery did not last all day. The cartomizers needed filling so often it was just taking to much of my time. I started looking for different alternatives.
I wanted a PV that I could take to work and not worry about having enough cartomizers and juice to last me all day. I wanted to be able to be confident that my batteries would not run out several times a day.
I looked at the VV mods and saw that my juice problem would not be solved. Why would I want to have some huge battery and a cart to keep filling? Sure they are really sharp, precision made and big, but unless they have a juice bottle hanging off the side, they would not work for me.
I saw different tank systems, but they seemed to have problems of their own. When the battery would not hold a charge you had to replace half the PV.
The REO seemed the perfect choice. I looked at the other box mods that are out there also. But I was sold on the REO because it was mechanical, sturdy, and got good reviews all around. It also seemed to be well crafted with top of the line materials. The Grand and Mini are made of aircraft grade aluminum.
I bought my first a Grand in the classifieds.
Now 5 months later I have just purchased my 7th REO.
My vaping needs have been met, with simplicity and quality.
Yes, they are that good!!
