Hi, I just starting getting into DIY. I thought I would start with premixed nicotine base to make it easy. I bought 250 ml. of 12mg. 70 vg 30 pg from Nude Nicotine. After I made a batch, I realized that I was diluting the nicotine base by adding my flavoring (so it is no longer 12 mg @ 70/30)? I also like strong flavors, so I used 22% flavorings.

Would anyone know what my final base is (I also assume that all of my flavors are PG based)? It did taste peppery also, which I thought was strange?

Thanks in advance for any help.

78% base + 22% flavor

12mg/ml * .78 = 9.36mg/ml
(.3 * .78) + .22 = .454 or 45.4% PG
Thanks, that's what I thought it was roughly. I wish I figured that out before I bought my supplies. I don't know why it would be so peppery though?

I really want the final juice to be 70VG/30 PG at 12mg. Would I buy 36mg nicotine base in 100% VG and then cut with PG and flavor to get it where I want it?

Thanks, I guess I have to make another order. I know it would be cheaper with the 100mg but I feel too nervous working with that right now.

Try a lower amount like 36 or 60. I I have done both and prefer to work with 60 instead of 100 for safety reasons. Safety precautions still apply but just wash off after handling nicotine and no worries.

Most newbies say that and i did as well until i realized just how much money i was throwing away . It's easy as cake and i worried for absolutely nothing .

I use the "Ejuice me up" calculator and only take out small amounts at a time depending on what the calculator tells me .

It tells you the exact amount of nic to draw out every time for whatever recipe your making , you don't even half to pour any out , open the top stick a long syringe in and draw out the proper ml you need .

Could not be easier.

Sounds good, do you know how long the shelf life is if I keep it stored at room temperature (if I get the 100% VG base nicotine)? Also, do you have a recommendation on where to buy clean, non-peppery nicotine?

It really stores best in a freezer; "shelf life" in a freezer is measured in YEARS. If not in a freezer... maybe months? It needs to be protected from both air and light; the colder it is, the less molecular action takes place, so the less oxidation. I have no idea what "peppery" taste means, because nic doesn't taste like pepper to me, but the more oxidation, apparently the more "peppery" taste. VapersTek has some "clean" nicotine, though it costs twice as much as their Throat-Hit nicotine.

You're really throwing away money like mad if you buy less than 100mg/ml; you're paying TOP dollar for someone else's PG or VG. 100mg nicotine is not nuclear waste. I don't even wear gloves anymore, though I did at first. If you get it on your hands, you don't start melting like the wicked witch in the wizard of oz; you run cold water and rinse it off, problem gone.

I am not sure about shelf life but if you buy the 120ml it's $10.00 and $6.00 shipping . If you buy the 1 liter amount it's $25.00 and $12.00 shipping , both are way cheaper than other nicotines out there and imo VaporsTek is the the best and least peppery i have used (by far).

Throat-Hit Nicotine - Vapers Tek

DO NOT get confused over the "Throat hit" label , it has the least TH i have experienced out of all the nic's i have tried , most everyone loves it.
