I think my cat is addicted!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, this is a weird one. When I used to vape, my cat would give me a weird look. Once the vapor would get in her vicinity, she would make a mad face and run away because of the vapor. Now, anytime I pick up my PV or she hears the sound of the button clicking, she RUNS and jumps into my lap.

No joke, but she literally gets 6 inches away from my face and stares at me and then tries to smell all the vapor that I exhale. I blow it the other way and she jumps towards it (ie. on the couch) and smells it all up and then comes back to my lap to await my next "puff".

I didn't think exhaling it would actually exhale nicotine into the air, but I'm pretty convinced my cat either loves the smells of the vapor or is actually hooked to nicotine.


Anyone elses animals experience this same behavior?

Okay, I also have to confess... When I wouldn't want my cat smothering me, I used to blow the smoke at her and it would turn her off making her leave... Cruel, I know.. =\ Major backfire. Now she can't get enough of it..

When I was smoking analogs, if my cat was on my lap when I lit up, he'd jump down and run off. With vaping, now he'll come and get on my lap (but not in my face). If he's taking a nap there and I vape a little to close to him, he'll sniff the vape and then go back to sleep. (although a couple of flavors keep him interested.) You've just got a curious little kitty there. She'll get used to it. (and stay away from the tuna e-juice... )

Hahaha, that's funny. I wouldn't be surprised if there's a tuna e-liquid out there!! It's just the craziest thing though. She gets super close, purs like crazy and anticipates the vapor. I create plumes of vapor and she literally sniffs it up as I watch it disappear in her nostrils haha.

Since day 1, my cats go nuts for the vapor! Now my Black Lab who is 14 yrs. old is jumping on my lap & trying to get at my PV. Whats up with that?

I have the opposite experience. One of my cats used to lick my fingers all the time. I finally figured out it was the nicotine on my fingers from smoking. Now that I've switched to vaping, she's stopped licking my fingers.

Did you smoke cigarettes inside though? And, do you vape inside currently? If the PV truly gives off nicotine during exhale, your cat might be getting her fix. No more licking your fingers! That's funny

My cat doesn't seem interested in the clouds coming out of my mouth, but he loves my 510s. When he hears the sizzle of the atty or sees the LED light up he gets in my face and tries to take the PV out of my mouth. He has successfully whacked it out of my mouth a couple of times when I didn't see him coming. He has also taken them off the table. He attempts to chew the plastic cap off of the end of the battery.

He's pretty cute, but he still pisses me off sometimes when he is persistent, the little dik

My horse is the same way... she can't seem to sniff me enough and she follows me around possevily. There's no way she could be addicted to the nicotine, being outside and only around me for only a few hours a day. She's crazy over my Cappuchino vapor!!

i wouldn't blow vape at the cat if were you. unless you hate it. now i don't know for sure about pg content in exhaled vape
but pg is a no no for cats as it is a known cause for something called "heinz bodies"

Please becareful when it comes to you kitty fans. PG can make a cat anemic according to my vet. Their systems are alot more sensitive than ours. I have 5 cats that just love Mister-E-Liquid's cognac fire. I get smoothered but hairballs when I vape it but I blow it up in the air. I don't take another toot until they think I'm done and leave.

I actually liked the babyback ribs. But, it's not an all day vape. Spicy and it stays in your atty for a while.
