I took my CHUCK through TSA @ southwest with no issues... however I did have to explain what it was.

I just can't go back to the prior 180mah after the 2400-2800mah of the chuck... in fact I am giving them (510 batts) to prospective Vapers at work with a trial atty and cart.

There WAS A 2 MIN WAIT while they all queried each other because they were ALL unsure of what it was, I got to explain AFTER their 2 Min query of each other's knowledge.

I did the same in early December. The Knoxville airport security did not care at all and they actually seemed familiar with PVs. On the return trip, at SFO, I had to open the Chuck, show the battery and then demonstrate it to the personnel. They all jumped back when they saw the plume of vapor LOL. Eventually, after a second scan they let me go.

Did you present it to them or did they scan your bag and ask what it was?

No bag... Walk through, pockets emptied in tray.

My son visits his mother in AZ every other weekend (we live in CA). So I hit the airport TSA checkpoint about 52 times a year (on her weekends once for drop off Friday, and once for pickup Sun).

I came early in case I had to walk it back to the car (I pay for parking).

I travelled by air to Florida on December 17th and just returned last night.

I carried on - a Janty Stick, 2 USB passthrus, Silver Bullet, Lady Pipe, Chuck, several penstyles, atomizers, chargers, various batteries and 90 ml liquid. No one batted an eye - going or coming.

I refuse to put them in my checked luggage - lest they lose it! 8-o

I see someone hasn't read my FAQ. Shame on you, but yes I work for TSA.

I did look at your profile and there was no information there.
Shame on you! :p
Hey by one chance in a million - do you happen to be a NY Yankee fan?
When I was having my ID checked before going thru security - I had a short conversation with an agent who commented and admired my NYY World Series shirt. He was a die hard fan and told me he wears his NYY jacket to work even though he is not supposed to. That would just be nuts if it was you. ;)
