After trading away some of my juices for some new atties and carto's, and having a little mixup in my order from Happy Vaper, I have now broadened my horizons to include the following: CE2R4's, clearomizers, LR cartomizer, SR cartomizer, LR510 atty, LR306 atty, and an eGo-T. For comparison purposes, I tested them all with the same juice (DIY 80/20 PG/VG 14 mg nic fruit flavor) and the same battery (manual eGo 650 mAh) Here are my thoughts on them all:
CE2R4's (2.8 ohm, XL):
I tried 3 of them (only 2 made it, lol). One I did a water rinse and dry burn with the inner plug in, one I did a vinegar soak, rinse and dry burn with the inner plug in, and the other one I completely mangled trying to get the inner plug out and will probably just throw it away. The one that soaked in vinegar is better than the one I just rinsed, no bad taste. I enjoy the warmth and the full flavor, clean taste, ok TH, ok vapor production, had to use it with the cone because I found the draw much to airy. Overall nothing special. I did have them sitting on their sides overnight and got a mouthful of liquid in my mouth with my first vape, maybe you are supposed to store them upright or maybe I put a plug in wrong cause I haven't heard others complain about this. All in all, these are WAY to much work and not at all worth the hassle.
Clearomizer (2.6-2.8 ohms, standard size)
I removed the top plug, then while attached to my battery, pulled the outer tube off, rinsed the wicks (not sure if this was necessary cause I don't think they contain any primer?), cut the wick loops (cause the guy in the video told me to, lol), then positioned the tube back on, stuffed the wicks back in before putting all the way on, then wiggled the inner plug back into place. It came with a little black rubbery drip tip which at first I didn't like the feel of it in my mouth cause it was small, but I like the rubber, and actually find I find the vapor warmer with it. (Just a theory but less airspace between mouth and atty=warmer vapor?) The vape is basically the same as the CE2R4's, just ok TH and vapor, maybe a bit better on the flavor side, had to use it with the cone also. Between the 2 I would pick the clearomizers because I like that you can see when they are empty, and that you can slide the whole tube off for cleaning between flavors, and even though they are a bit of work, once you got the hang of it, it would probably be a breeze.
LR carto (smoktech):
Great TH, good flavor, lots of vapor, definetely the overall winner for cartos in my books. Anyone know if any of our Canadian vendors carry these?
Boge and BE510 SR carto:
The Boge was my goto for at work and on the road, but after putting it side by side to the LR, it does absolutely nothing for me. The flavor is good but it looses in the TH, warmth, and vapor departments. The BE510 had an inner seal which made for a harder draw, which I like.
LR 306 Bauway atty:
A little lacking in flavor department, but everything else is amazing!!
LR 510 Smoktech atty:
I don't find much difference between this and the SR JoyE 510 atties, maybe a bit more vapor. I taste more flavor than the 306's, but I prefer the warmth and TH on the 306.
EGO-T
I will start off by saying the one that I got is used. I blew it out before using and primed with some PG. The convenience of it is amazing, no fiddling with plugs and needles, easy to clean, you want a new flavor, just slap on a new tank. I love that you can see when it is empty, I found myself constantly dripping with my boge cartos to top them up and keep them fresh. No need to carry around a bottle with you everywhere you go, a couple of prefilled tanks would get me through a long drive and day at work. I didn't find the flavor lacking like some, and the TH and vapor were good. I look forward to trying a LR version of this as I love the warmth that LR offers.
I have basically fullfilled my list of things to try on my eGo (maybe the eGo xl cartos or KR808 cartos if someone wants to weigh in on these). Overall, the 2 that I will probably stock up on are the LR 306's for dripping at home and the eGo-T for at work and in the car. I slightly of prefer the taste/feeling of the LR cartos to the eGo-T, but the convenience outweighs the slight difference. I would probably pick up a second tank system because I am paranoid that something will crap out on me while I am at work, which would leave me vapeless and highly likely to strangle an annoying customer. Also I switch the flavors up often and some of the stronger ones linger in the atty until you clean it, so one atty for coffee/chocolate, other one for fruit and tobacco. Once I get all this together, I won't have to run around for 20 minutes trying to get my PV stuff all sorted for work! Now all thats left is to find some good juice! OK, now I am just rambling!! There is my 2 cents (ok, more like 200 cents).
