    Hi everyone,

I wanted to show you what I was working on. I created a platform to help keep track of aromas, bases and nicotine stocks and to be able to create recipes and use them to make e-liquids. You can also publicly post what you created and share with others what you have crafted and you can search recipes you make make with your stock.

I present myself shortly, I vape for 11 years, and I fell in love with making e-liquid, because it’s cheaper, it’s fun, kind of a being a chemist and being able to taste the creation afterwards (not like a chemist ^^’). I am a developer in my everyday life, and I wanted to make something to help me become better at managing my aromas and recipes (which is hard as I have ADD).
I’m working alone on this project, and I would love to know what you think of it. I know there are already big websites with lots of recipes to try, but I wanted to create a tool that combine a lot of useful tools in one place and give to people a space to create and share together.

Now for the real stuff, I would need your help to beta test the platform! I need, for now, 10 people that would like to test the tools in advance and report back to me with bugs and missing elements. If you're interested, send me your email on the page under the video, and I’ll make a list of this and select 10 person randomly on a video and those persons will be given access to the platform! ;)

PS: I hope this doesn’t go against the rules of this forum as I just want to share what I created. If I’m mistaken thanks to contact me and I’ll understand and remove my post to follow the rules or switch it to another sub-forum if necessary ;)

Let me please start over. I am not trying to sell anything to anyone. I’m just trying to show what I created. I’m a fan of e-liquid DIY and always struggled to keep everything in order. I decided to create a tool for myself and wanted to share it with you.

I maybe got carried away, but that’s just because I’m hyped to share what I created and also doubting my capacities (impostor syndrome) and didn’t want too many people trying it at the same time. If anyone wants to try this tool, just message me on this board or send me an email (I will not use it in any way of marketing or else, it’s just so that I can send you the token to create an account.).

I’m open to discuss anything about this, and I would love to hear what you think! (love or hate is accepted) ;)

I wish you a happy vape to you all!

I've been vaping, and not smoking, for nearly quite as long as you have. I like to write programs and when I started vaping, and even for a year or three, I thought it would be a fantastic to match my skills with this new and great thing I was doing. I thought, "This would probably be useful for others too.". Much to my sometimes joy sometimes dismay, I found that all or most of the ideas of 'projects, software suites, calculator things, and whatnot' that I came up with had already been done. Usually better. Anyway, I briefly viewed the video and to be honest I thought, "Poor horse, and, 'too many chefs'", but in a good way.. :matrix:

Thanks @Letitia, @somdcomputerguy, @smacuser, @Coyote628 to have taken the time to answer back to me!

You are totally right @Letitia, I should maybe explain a little bit more my choice of embarking on something that has been done a few times already.

When I first started vaping 11 years ago, it was seen as a fantastic and innovative way to quit smoking. At least in Belgium, we were meeting, sharing tips and tricks and new discoveries. This forum is one of the few spaces that still lives to tell the tale.

However, regulations and lobbying have fragmented that collective knowledge, and nowadays, many people turn to pre-made solutions (already made e-liquids, and disposables) that can be expensive and not exactly fit their needs (for example : someone that would need a specific nicotine strength).

Even though, this forum lets people ask questions and get good answer, some tools to help them learn (or at least gives answer to basic questions) is a good way to reduce the repetitive messages for help and maybe would let more constructive discussions happen.

I’ve always felt that creating e-liquid is an art that demands a good set of tools, especially for people like me who can get easily overwhelmed without proper organisation (which I lack of ^^’). Initially, my goal was to build something to help myself manage my stock and recipes more efficiently. Over time, I realised that if this tool helps me, it could certainly help others, too.

Here are the main differences that, I think, are useful that are not present with ELRECIPES and All The Flavors :

    - Personal stock management: Unlike other platforms, it allows you to keep an inventory of your flavors, PG/VG bases, and nicotine boosters. This way, you always know what you have in stock.

    - Low stock notifications: The platform tells you when any of your essential supplies run low, helping you stay prepared.

    - Recipe compatibility search: You can search for recipes you can make based on your existing stock, ensuring you only see options you can actually create.

    - Unique flavor listing: To avoid confusion, the platform prevents duplicate flavor listings, keeping your inventory clear and organized.

    - A better user interface: Featuring colorful and image-rich options to easily identify flavors and recipes when creating or selecting them.

    - Profile customization: Set your preferred PG/VG and nicotine levels, and the platform calculates the exact quantities you need for each recipe.

    - Custom weight: Get recipe results in either milliliters or grams, according to your preference (I prefer using a scale and it is at least useful to me).

    - Automatic stock update: The platform automatically adjusts your stock levels when you make a new batch of e-liquid. Also it gives you informations of your stock when creating e-liquid. You know how much quantity you can make with what you have.

    - E-liquid modification calculator : On the main page, I tried to make a calculator to modify an existing e-liquid. I’ve found myself many times making an error, or vaping an old liquid too strong in flavor / nicotine strength and wanting to modify it. I had to make a lot of calcul to know exactly what to add and sometimes it was really hard to keep ratios of flavor or nicotine strength while increasing or decreasing the other ratio of flavor/nicotine strength.

    - A (small) blog (for now) : I tried to explain some of the calculation to be able to make their e-liquid. I intend to continue releasing article to extend that knowledge database. So that I can give the tool while also giving the knowledge for people eager to understand what’s what.

Some things I thought about what could be created in the future (I might not be feasible but at least it is fun to think about it) :

    - Aroma safety testing: Implement a feature for testing flavors for safety, funded collectively by users who want real scientific validation of their favorite flavor.

    - Efficient ordering: Facilitate ordering flavors from the nearest stores, minimizing shipping costs and delivery times.

    - Community challenges: Create flavor challenges where winning recipes get produced and sold, with profits shared with the creator.

    - 3D Printed tools : Creating a good scale with electronic components + 3d printing (to reduce the price of the scale), creating a tool box with all the tools to make your coil.

In the end, I don’t say that I am better at making tools to help people nor my solution is the perfect one. I just tried to give back what I got when I started vaping which helped me quit smoking. And with this platform, I can make it go anywhere, if you have ideas of things that you need to do while creating your e-liquids that takes time (or that bothers you) and could be automated. I’m all ears!

Thank you if you read this far, at least I have spoken what I had in mind :)

PS : @somdcomputerguy what about thoses horses ? I didn't get it xD
