so, jiff! you gave up on the bottom feed and gonna go atty dripping mrPuff style? i got my pcb charger on my box. hope my JBweld is going to be able to hold it in place... i wanna have something that allows me to replace or take out the LED easily (like if i go to the movies or some place else) and instead of carving a whole to squeeze the bottle i'd like to place a push button. still have no idea how am i gonna do this 2 things. im gonna be using a 16ga needle to go batt connector to the atty hope it'll work!

If the LED is like the way I want mine and has a hole for it to be out of the box and not one of the ones behind the bottle, you can always drill the hole a little bit smaller than it needs to be and just push/pull it to put it in and replace. If it is a little smaller it won't break from the pressure and would still stay in place (presumably). Also, you may be able to just twist all the wires tightly and not solder it... That may or may not work though...

Your idea for a switch to pump the juice is a good one (has it been done before? I don't think it has!) However I haven't seen any switches that would work well for it.... You may be best off designing your own mechanical one that is just basically a piston that when you push it, it pushed into the bottle, and have the bottle resting against a solid wall on the inside, that may be enough to get some juice outa it.... Idk something you'll have to fool with and experiment... There may be and probably is a switch that would be able to do what you want and I just don't know about it.

i need a smaller bottle. not even sure a 5ml would do. here some pics
juiceboxunfinished2.jpg

i had to patch the box (melt&sand; thanks DnC!!) on the corner cos i drilled alla carlosjuicebox for the atty/batt/connector and found out it wouldnt work that way.
juiceboxunfinished1.jpg

the charger works fine its slow but works (150mAh, i think), its fully charged then when i vape the light goes from green to red. thought it was kinda cool. im using a 16ga needle to feed the juice. i soldered a barrel clasp to the positive part of the batt connector and the other part of the clasp i stuck into my plastic feeding tube then i just screw them both together the 16ga needle fits in perfectly.i probably would be able to have the nedle being a removable thing so that i could manage how much of i i wanted to go inside the atty but only thought about it when the job was done.next time, next box!link for the clasps
Jewelry Essentials Findings Barrel Clasps
sort of like i did here as a joke
510withfeeding.jpg

the push button i made up with a screw bolt and spring. for the LED i used 2 18ga needle and epoxied one side to the wall of the box that i can just stick the LED into it on the other end i stuck the neg wire on one and the resistor on the other.
its your turn now, jiff!

I'm gonna be honest with you, I think your picture of the 510 with the pump is awesome. Market those hair bands as "Joye510 bottle feed system attachment". No one will know the difference.:p

But in all seriousness, your box looks great. I'm hoping mine comes out half as good. I'm not adding the charger or the bottle squeezer button, I'm going the easier simpler way and will leave the better stuff to the pro's.:p

I'll be ordering my parts tomorrow (damn you bi-weekly pay...) and build the box when they all arrive.

Update: ordered all my parts today, put in for fast shipping. Should be able to start Monday or Tuesday. Only forseeable issue I see is needing to find a friend with a power drill I can borrow that will fit 11/32" and 3/4" drill bits or use my tiny 1/4" drill and expand holes.

Unless someone has a cheap alternative to putting out 150+ on a big drill.

box is working. gave up on a push bottom to squeeze the bottle.
works fine except that leaks a little from the atomizer holes (i think).
box2ez.jpg

i know it needs some painting but im not sure ill be doing it.
box1ha.jpg

and since it has the inside charger im most of the time vaping on a fresh batt :D
do you think i should try a LR atty on it or chances are i'd blow the dang thing (the atty)?
now i wanna see your pictures!!!!

Would you mind sharing the info on the charger you added, I've been wanting to do this but don't have time to find the info, not to mention, have no idea what I'm doing! LOL

Looks real good. As for the LR attys, I hear they die quicker than regular attys, but a lot of people like them. I haven't tried them, but I do intend to eventually.

As for my box, I hit a slight snag in the process.... My soldering iron tip is dead. So tomorrow I'll be picking up a new one and be able to finish probably tomorrow (possibly Friday, but more likely tomorrow it'll be done). I'll post pictures then.

It won't be until next week that I actually get to test it though, as I also will be ordering a seperate battery for this unit (deciding to go with an 18500 rather than 18650). I figure the 18500 will still last over a day, and it's just easier to not have to alter the connector placements for my newbie skills.

I do have a picture of what it will look like when done, on the outside with everything put in place. I'll put it up in a few minutes.

The cartridge also has the mouthpiece hole drilled straight through (will make it easier to look in and see how many drops I'm dripping). It fits a 10ml bottle that is held in place relatively well from a piece of plastic I didn't rip out. The battery (18500) will also be securely in place. I didn't take an inside pic because, well, there's nothing wired up in there yet so I didn't see the point.

More pictures (hopefully) tomorrow when it's done/near done.

EDIT: don't mind how fat the area under my thumb looks, I got bit by a spider last night so it's swelling up pretty good.

its a pain in .... to take out the regular usb from it but a rotary tool would help and after you took it out you drill a tiny hole on where it had the old usb. but i think i should do a cable with the charger on it and the box would have just the mini usb female. know what i mean?
the charger dont have to be in the box. all you need is the mini usb female then you have a charger cable with male mini usb male/charger board/ and the male usb at the end just like a regular cable.

Interesting, so basically just running the wires to the box using a mini usb female connector(or whatever connector) to plug/unplug.. I didn't think of that!

finished up the soldering earlier tonight.. got a bit delayed from a hospital visit yesterday.. epoxy is hardening overnight, will post pics tomorrow. New thread for finished product and results of it's workings next week when I get the right size batt in the mail.

Tried to test it with just a AA, but it didn't work... I suspect because it's too small to make a good connection? If AA works to test for others, then I did something wrong... Otherwise, I'll test next week!

Well, battery came in earlier than expected. The damn thing works! I couldn't believe it!

I've never built anything electrical before, never soldered electrical components (just non-electrical) and I've never wired anything. I'm amazed the thing actually works. It hits better than my BSB (might be the new atty I'm using on it). Pump works great, switch has a solid *click* to it too. Only issue is the LED doesn't work (for whatever reason, probably something I did wrong).

New thread for the completed model later when my phone is reconnected and I can send the pics to my computer.

I think I may end up building a new one, so the LED works... I think I'm like the rest of ya'll... Mod fever...
