I want to build a vv mod.. A little help?

Im going to order a vv mod kit from mad vapes. It looks great but from reading the reviews the only issue I have is with the button. Several of the reviewers state that it is a cheesy cheap feeling button. So im wondering if when I make my order I should also order a different button along with it. I really like the horn style buttons. Could I mod the box that comes in the kit to make the horn button work? I've also considered just piecing together all the parts I need separately from mad vapes. It comes out a little cheaper that way but im leaning towards the predrilled kit with everything I need all together for my first mod build. Any pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Truthfully, BJ43's VVBox and VV passthrough and my ACDC are probably the simplest VV mods; at least mine is :D. With the MadVapes kit you still have to assemble everything on the board. Using the DC converter modules from eBay is simple: everything is already on a board and there are +/- connections for voltage in and +/- connections for voltage out. The potentiometer is already mounted on the board, ready to go.

Both BJ43's and my mods use an AC adapter as a passthrough power source; but if you replaced the DC power jack with a USB jack, you could use the 'normal' passthrough power options.

Or to make the build simpler, leave out the PT option. Just connect the + from the batteries to the switch; connect other post of switch to the Vin+; connect - from batteries to Vin-. Then just connect Vout+ to the center post of the atty connector and Vout- to the outer shell of the atty connector.

You can order a kit from MadVapes and get it in 3-5 days or get everything but the DC converter module and atty connector from Radioshack; order atty connector from MV or Good Prophets (3-5 days) and module from eBay ~1-2 weeks.

Hey there Nor just got my vv mod recently and put it together yeah the button is small and in my opinion does work well.
Perhaps getting the kit and building it will give you more idea's for another mod as im even thinking about making a nice wooden box for the next one.
Also the instructions are up on the page top right hand corner just click on "blog" and navigate to it.
