To 'get your feet wet', the MadVapes kits are nice. Since you've used 510/eGos, the 3.7V kit should be perfect. However, if you go with VV you can get 3.7V up through 5 or 6V. And, at least for me, once I tried vaping at higher than 3.7V, I can't go back, just not the same :D.
Using the eBay converters to get VV isn't all that much more complicated than a 3.7V mod.

However you proceed, Welcome to the wonderful wacky world of modding! :thumb:

my goal is to do a vv. I have a vision in my head of what I want but I was thinking the 3.7 would help get my feet wet.

my vision: vv box, small. Smaller the better. I also want to either bottom feed or top feed. I'm leaning toward top feed. Something about exposed tubing sounds sexy :p. What do you guys think is better?

the big question though is can I fit all this in a 2xAA box?

Start simple, build it RIGHT, and then use the experience to move on to more complex mods.
Good clean solid connections, STRAIGHT battery connector, and neatly done epoxy......

Look around the forum for pics of mods folks make; the well made ones are easy to spot; they don't have a bunch of slop in the box and everything fits together really well. I enjoy seeing someone post a well made mod because it shows they take pride in what they do.

Best wishes with your build...it's a lot of fun.

You might check out this thread for an easy to build bottomfeeder w/(mostly) madvapes parts;

I built one with a few changes. Used silicone tubing instead of copper, with a piece of 16g needle(also from MV) soldered into the positive pole of the 510 connector. Works great!
