So, as the title says, I would like to do a small giveaway of a pro kit completely free of charge and was wondering what the rules and guidelines were about doing so here. I would also like to know which section of the forum would be the best place to hold the giveaway. I am posting this here in the new members forum section because I am still fairly new to the forum and don't want to break any of their rules before posting elsewhere. Thanks so much in advance.

This might help, too... :)

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ecf-forum-rules/51178-forum-rules.html

32. Polls and Contests
a. Any event decided by voting, or polls, or contests, run by and for members or groups, cannot be termed 'ECF xxxxx Of The Year' or similar as this gives the impression that ECF has sanctioned the event and has some input into the conduct of it, or has requested appropriate quality standards where the poll is for a product. ECF would require independent proof of safety standards or similar. Such private events must be termed 'ECF Members Choice xxxxx Of The Year', 'ECF [Group] xxxxx Of The Year', '[Group] xxxxx Of The Year', or similar.
b. No contest may exceed 2000 post. Any contest exceeding this amount will be closed without notice.

And you can post your Contest here... (read the first stickied post, too)

Member Contest Forum

I've held a few contests here, and it's really nice to see a new member wanting to give back to the community!!

Thanks!!

Are you a supplier/vendor of some sort? If so, I think you have to register with ECF as such, and then from their you can utilize those forums designed specifically for suppliers to offer such promotions and/or giveaways.

There is nothing against a member wanting to have a contest/giveaway of their own, and I have posted the link where they can do so!!! :p

There is also a Pay-It-Forward forum for giving stuff away:

Pay It Forward - PIF

But you can't actually hold your own contest/giveaway there without getting permission first... and somebody already posted the link to the Treasure Chest thread... :)

Wow thank you all so much for getting back to me about this so quickly! I didn't expect so many responses. I read the rules that were linked above and in the thread posted by classwife: classwife's post regarding contest rules she says "No contests via YouTube subscriptions, contests are held here for members". The reason I'm holding a giveaway in the first place is to build a bigger audience there, especially on a short e-liquid review video I did. Would it be breaking ECF rules if I asked people to watch, like and write a testimonial comment saying they've done those two steps on that video in order to enter the giveaway? She specifically says subscriptions, nothing about liking or commenting. I know it's a technicality but I would really like to post it here and get more people involved if I can. Thanks again.
