Great info thanks to everyone love it!

I couldn't take it any longer and ordered the riva 510 kit from liberty flights for super cheap. Including shipping it's still half the price of the canadian sites I found. It comes with the better cartomizers also. I feel I made a good purchase, I guess we'll see! I'll also be crossing my fingers it doesn't find trouble at the border, the cartomizers are empty so.... anyways I also ordered some e liquid from a canadian site. 6x5mL samplers of various flavours of my choice. I ordered 2 of the sets of six which equals 60mL of juice altogether. I don't know how far that will go? One set in 24mg one in 18mg of nic just incase 18 isn't strong enough to keep me.......ummmmm.....not crazy. So altogether just a bit over $100 canadian delivered. I'm really excited!

P.S. I'm reeallly excited!

Congrats, sounds like a smart order. I bet you'll love vaping right from the get go. Please report back when you get it.

Well I'm slow on reporting back.... Pack a day smoker no more!

I got my kit eight days ago. So it took a week to get to me, much quicker than I expected. After reading canadians posts here on ECF I braced myself for at least two weeks. I also ordered my juice from a canadian vendor to avoid customs issues. Both arrived the same day! Meant to be? As soon as I got the first bat charged I had to give it a try, that was a very long 8hours. It was done around 6 pm. My first drag was funny! Completely caught me off guard. Also the day it came my in laws came for an over nighter. I wasn't gonna wait til they left though! Well my first evening was funny for sure. I did have a smoke in the latter part of the evening not that I craved one I was just kinda curious and wanted to compare the taste. I was getting headaches too so I wanted to see if a smoke would take it away. It didn't.

I was getting bad headaches in my forehead for the first three or so days. I was scared I was overdosing on nic. Well one night I just got sick of it and started vaping more steady. It worked no more headaches. Maybe I've just adjusted or maybe I was having wihtdrawals idk.

While I was waiting for my stuff to get here (checking my tracking info hourly) I was driving my husband crazy reading ECF and youtube videos. He decided he wanted one too so we ordered him the 1100Mah kit from nhaler so our parts would be compatible. Also ordered some more cartos, attys and drip tips so I could try out dripping. I'm not liking the dripping really. Got my first burnt taste doing it ewwww. I like using the tips in my cartos though, nice. When the atty is brand new do you need to soak it in juice or break it in somehow? (yes I cleaned the primer fluid out first)

So I'm off the analogs and satisfied though most of the juices are yucky. Since all I had was cartos I was forced to fill them with whatever juice, only to find out it was gross. So some of my cartos have been washed and dried three times already. Is it bad to clean them too often? I've ordered two more sample packs from pink spot which I can't track(been 9 days). The tracking number from them starts with LJ as opposed the the EC numbers I had with liberty flights and nhaler. I'm getting a bit antsy since I won't even know if customs has sent it back. The juices I have that aren't repulsive are nearly empty ohhh nooo. Today I ordered some larger bottles of juice from a reputable vendor in case this order doesn't make it through.

My hubby's kit also arrived in one week(two days ago). He works 12 hour shifts and hasn't had a battery die at work so far. He's still smoking though. Is it better to have the bat completely dead before recharging it? He hasn't been.

I'm feeling better already. Only way I can describe it is not heavy

Thank-you ECFers for the encouragement and tons of great info
Even if I don't post things I'm here =)

congrats on quitting!!

Just curious but what PV did you get?
Some people clean and reuse cartos but I dont do it. I recommend using atomizers to test flavors and see what you like and then when you find one you do like, fill a cartomizers. Doing that wont waste cartos then when you dont like a juice. Also I dont put different juices in a cartomizers. Some juices linger even if you clean the carto. I designate one carto per juice and just keep refilling with the same juice. I dont wash cartos, becuause some cartos dont wick as well after you wash them, especially a few times.
Make sure you drink lots of water. Vaping dehydrates you so maybe thats what the headaches came from.

Sample packs are a good way to go to try a bunch of juices. Check out BlueMist Vapor too. Has sample packs and 250+ juices and great prices.

Also I wouldnt let the batterys completely die. I recommend throwing a battery back on a charger when it gets to 25%. They will last longer.

I hope I answered your questins, let me know if you have any more
Goodluck!

Nevermind on what PV you got, I read back and saw you got a Riva. I recommend trying the "Ressurector" cartomizers from Crystal Clear Vaping. They are incredible and produce a ton of vapor. 1.7ohm LR and hold 2ml of juice so they last all day. I have an E-Power and lovethe Ressurectors. They really make the Riva amd E-Power shine

Cartos are cartomizers - they don't use an atomizer. They hold juice AND screw right on the battery. Most find them preferable for vaping favorite everyday juices. But they have limited lives. I can get 10 days use out of a Boge carto.

Carts are cartridges - they come with the kit and push into the atomizer. Carts can be restuffed and I recommend the precut blue foam stuffing at strictlyejuice.com (search there for foam - under $1 for 10 pieces). Blue foam lasts longer, holds its shape, easier to rinse, pat dry and replace.

new atomizers often have primer on them that tastes like machine oil - * blow out a new atty, prime with 4 drops liquid, let that soak in, and vape it mostly off with a drip tip without inhaling. Repeat from *. Then repeat again but try inhaling. And yes new atomizer take a little while to break in.

As your first cartomizers I recommend Boge 3 ohm - just warm and more forgiving while learning to keep them damp. Then many prefer the hotter 2 ohm Boge 510 cartos (the most popular cartomizers on large battery 510-threaded devices). Then you could try all the other kinds. In cartomizers like Boge I recommend thin juices. I use 80PG/20VG and 90PG/10VG.
