hello i am yet another new person here. i just started vaping about 2 weeks ago and am still trying to find a setup i'm comfortable with. i got a dse901 setup and the cartomizers were terrible lasted about a day each. so i ordered a 901 to 808d adapter so i could use 808 cartos but I can't get the friggin thing to work. So i'm sitting here with lots of juice and no way to vape. I just had an analog and it was disgusting. The light comes on my battery and air comes through fine but no vapor. I tried pulling up the center pole in the carto after reading about it but still nothing. I know i'm brand new here and already whining about my technical problems but anyone who has a solution would save my life.

yeah i've screwed that screw every which way. out of 3 cartos that i've opened i've gotten one of them to work on my auto battery but not my manual. another carto on the auto i can lift the pole on the carto and hit it while im twisting it on and it will vape for half a second, then stop, then i screw a little more, it vapes again for half a second etc. But as for the manual i couldn't get any of them to do anything. insanity

when i put it on without the adapter, it is vaping on both batteries but its totally clogged...from what i've read if i drilled a hole in the carto it would work. but sadly i don't have a drill.

What juice are you using? What PG/VG?

The problem is - high VG juice make more vapor and lets through less TH. But high VG juices are thick and clog cartos. In my cartos I use thin clear juices with 20% VG or less (clear to avoid flavoring sediment that also clogs cartos). I get a week or more good use out of each carto.

Once in awhile the holes on my e-cig parts get clogged so I usually either use a toothpick or end of a paperclip and very gently clear the holes or I stick the end with the little holes in my mouth and blow as hard as I can to try to clear it out. That usually does the trick for me with atomizers. It might work with carts as well. It can't hurt to try. I'd try blowing it out first, though.

Also - what KR8 cartos are you using? KR8 cartos should either be slotted across their center post (like every KR8 carto I use) OR the adapter needs to be slotted across its post. If neither is slotted that you will not get good airflow to the cartos. I used a 510 to 901/808 adapter from Goodprophets on my 3.7 mod box and Riva 510 and it works fine for vaping my Vapor4Life KR8 WOW cartos.

If you do have the slots then I guess it is a contact problem. Try another brand of cartos and/or another adapter.

Both posts in the cartos and the adapter are slotted. It must just be a bad adapter I don't know. The one that I got working is fantastic. But once the battery runs out and all i have is the manual its not gonna work. I went through all my 901 cartos because they are terrible!!! Every time i'd fill them up, even with the condom method, they would need more juice in about 3 to 4 cigarettes worth of puffs. Then they would be completely bad by the end of 1 day. But I can tell with this one 808 carto I got working that its a million times better. I don't know what it is about those 901 cartos. They are ridiculous.

The weird thing about this adapter is I can mess with the post on the end of the cartos that haven't been working...move it up a little, and then stick it on the auto battery and if I puff it while I'm twisting it on it will hit random spots where it starts vaping for half a second then stop. But thats just on the auto. The manual does nothing.

I'm about to just order a whole 808 kit and forget about these 901 batteries all together. I can't be sure that the adapter is the problem and I don't wanna waste another week finding out a new one doesn't work. Fudge.
