OK, so I just had my second V4L auto batt kick the bucket on me last week, really bummed me out...It was my most favorite one, had a nice blue LED in it, I miss it lots.
Anyhow, I decided I'd tear into it last night, if anything to figure out what the innards are like...And it turns out that it will still work if I short the pins on the microphone switch, which means that's the bad part! So, if I can come up with another bum battery (i.e. one that's worn-out) that has a good switch, a little transplanting will bring my beloved blue LED battery back to life!
So yeah, I'm looking for bad V4L batts, or any bad KR808 batts for that matter. My first priority is resurrecting my blue batt, but...If I get enough, I'm gonna see if I can play "battery repair man" and fix a bunch! Who knows, maybe I'll be able to fix other peoples' batts too!
I'm also in process of making a new type of passthrough, one that's kinda like those "SnakeLights", and I need some non-functional manual batteries in order to make them. 510, 4xx, 801...Whatever. Doesn't matter, so long as the button still "clicks" when you press it. If I can get enough of these things working, I wanna make them available to people via PIF (or similar) so that everyone can have a nice passthrough without paying an arm and a leg for it. This way, I'd always have something awesome to give, and not break the bank in the process!
I don't have much in the way of money, however I do have plenty of stuff I can trade! Holler at me, I wants yer' bad batts!!!
