Is it a USB pass through? If it is you may not be getting enough power thru your USB to both power and charge the battery, especially if your a heavy vaper. It would be nice to have an LED that denoted charging status on the little battery box. I have seen batteries at several of the e-cig supplier sites and you should be able to just google the battery info for retail suppliers.

The batts in the 510 PTs are either great or terrible - seems to be no middle ground alas.
You can buy replacement batts at cignot for sure (I get mine there when Im not cursing my 3.7v PT lol) or you can go crazy and buy a 5v PT, I have one of those also - I get that at madvapes and they don't have an inline battery to worry about. The voltage is higher so the atty will get hotter, which is fine for a 510 atty, but it might alter the taste of some of your juices. That's fine for some but not so great for others.
Links for the suppliers mentioned: Cignot your Midwest Electronic Cigarette store. and Welcome to MadVapes LLC

I've bought from both, very good prices delivery and customer service.

The pass throughs that don't have a battery are drawing all their power from your USB port which supplies the 5v power. If you overload it, hopefully the overdrawn port will just shut down, but the high drain can't be good for the electronics. I'd rather have one with the battery since the drain is from the battery instead of the port itself. The USB port just charges the battery and the battery supplies the power to the E-cig.

Plus, you can use the passthrough unplugged for much longer than a standard 510 batt. The 510 bat is 150mah and the passthrough bat on mine is 360mah. I sometimes use it away from the computer when watching TV or put it in my pocket to walk around.

You can also get a USB/AC wall plug (safer than using your PC ports for the 5v PT for sure), Walmart, Target, all major stores with an electrical department should carry one.
Anything that is the same as 2 amp AC to USB Adapter, ideal for Passthroughs (they are out of stock atm btw) would be fine to use.
(should have said that before but forgot sorry lol)
