ONE you ordered from china...your local 510 resellers order from china as well so the time factor should have been expected

TWO pump the manual to extend the drag time

THREE cut-off times are not a surprise or un-common and it doesn't state that it doesn't have a cut-off time either SOOOO since you know there are 2 kinds it isn't right to blame a supplier from your error on assumptions

I mean would you have posted the same thing if a local supplier sent you the same thing but it took only 4 days?

You don't have to purchase from anyone more than once if you are not satisfied... but to put it out in such a negative way because you don't know how to be a consumer isn't fair at all... really not fair at all

The rule of thumb on batteries is to assume a cutoff, that's standard. Only if it's without a cutoff does it usually describe as such. You can do as Duck says and pump it to get around it. Shipping can be slow from overseas and should be expected. I have had my shipments come in as little as 7 days. I reserve my overseas shipping for items I'm in no hurry to receive.

ONE- i learned my lesson not to order from china unless i was ordering huge quantity

TWO- would it be so bad to post something like this:

"Sealed manual battery is great for direct dripping. Now with a 7 second cut off to prevent atomizer overheating, maximize it life! The 510 is a performance machine, extra batteries are a must have!"

if i would have ordered local, i would actually take the time to ship it back, but by the time china gets it (another 15 days) to get credited and then more wait time to order from someone else, its pointless and not worth the effort.
i did not want a cut off, and if i did i would not have ordered manual batteries. So you are right, i don't have to purchase from anyone more than once, but i will state my opinion weather you think its fair or not.

I have no issies with eastmall's shipping, sometimes its 7 days sometimes its 12, but i know before hand it has to go through cutoms and for gods sake its coming form china.

I have bought over 30 batts and atty's from them and 3 usb pt, out of all that i had 1 bad atty and 1 bad battery which they replaced for free without needing to ship anything back to them.

Now in regards to the cutoff time, wtf? are you talking about, i have bought countless local batts and they all have a cutoff time, some are shirt some are longer, its part of the game, just press the button for 2 seconds and repress it again, what is so frikking hard about that.

I have been a dedicated customer ever since I discovered Eastmall, and I wouldn't ever choose another provider. If you are having problems with the products, or didn't receive what you expected, send an email to Ed or Di and I'm sure they will be more than happy to assist you in finding a solution. Eastmall has the best customer service I have experienced with ANY company, and going on a message board complaining like a baby about getting what you didn't expect is just a horrible attempt at getting back at a company that didn't screw you over to begin with.

Get over it.

I did however, just have my first experience with the new batteries, and I must say, I am not pleased. When I first purchased from Eastmall, I got an 801 model that had problems with cutoff times on the battery. It would cutoff about 2 seconds in, and I had to constantly puff to keep it going (auto switch). This isn't as bad with a manual switch, but still quite annoying. Having to "pump" the switch to get a decent hit just reduces the amount of voltage used, and ends up with a sub-par throat-hit.

The old batteries performed amazingly. The lifetime on them are great, as well as with the atomizers, so I don't understand why a cutoff time was suddenly introduced. A precaution from burning out a atomizers sure (I have sat on mine frequently), but most people should know that if it feels pretty hot, it's probably not good for it. Self control comes into play here, and should be considered.

I think the OP had a good point of bringing out awareness of the change, but the way he went about it was just nonsense. I still think it's an important issue to talk about though, and possibly offer batteries with and without cutoff times?

I would love to hear some feedback from the other members on this, Ed and Di especially, maybe a poll?

The attys are low-bridge 4-hole easy draw and will never ever compress the cart filling. Vapor machines! The bats have easy-glide buttons. Not those silly annoying recessed ones that gets stuck all the time. I would never buy 801s from anyone else again.

Their customer service is fabulous, bar none. So is their staff. I will be a loyal customer of theirs for a long time.

The 2 510 manuals and 11 mega manual batteries I have are endless. I didn't know ANY manuals had a cutoff.. Are you sure it just isn't broken? All mine will burn til you fry the atty or let go of the button. I have one broken mega battery that has been on for over a month. (No cutoff there)

Making things right is a win/win situation, your happy and they look like the customer service champs they truely are.

Ed is amazing, he does a wonderful job,
and East Mall is second to none in this area,

we value our customers very much,
and we do our utmost to keep them happy and in vaping bliss------:)

On my invoice today, included with my order, there's a handwritten notation along with David's stamp, to include 2 5-packs of XLong empty EM4 carts, that I forgot to order (duh), as a gift! What I received was FOUR (4) 5-packs of empty cartomizers. That's TWENTY (20) extra cartomizer blanks! That was so totally unexpected I counted my order several times as there was too much stuff and I was scratching my head... then I read the invoice.

David, and Di, thank you! What an unexpected Christmas gift! I am thrilled, as you can imagine. You didn't have to do that, but you did. A big HUGE thank you! :wub:

David is a kind and caring man-
he sees you have an order and made an omission
that will cause you a problem-----
he tries to fix it-- to help you-- at his expense-

East Mall does value all our customers--
we do go above and beyond in many ways--
:)

may I please say here that I have personal knowledge
of many other suppliers in ecf who are caring of their clients also
sometimes we do forget that behind the supplier " Tag "
there is a real man - or woman,
and most of them really are very nice people
dispite the competition for business out there......
