Last year, I quit for 9 months with the help of some cheap eGo twists and cartos. I got my juice locally and I never tried anything other than that battery and French vanilla juice at 24mg.
This time, I've quit for almost a month and I walked into my local B&M after coming here (Ok, I spent a LOT of time here.), and I told him that I wanted to try out some better equipment and he steered me in the right direction. I bought a Vamo off of him and then I bought a provari mini online.
I decided that I wanted to get my first rba and he recommended the hcigar kayfun 3.1 and I decided to go for it. I had an appointment tonight where I sat for 45 minutes with him going over building coils and taking care of the tank and ohms and safety and I left there having a good foundation and enough cotton and wire to build it again at least 100 times. He also threw in a 30ml bottle of juice, a needled empty bottle and an ohm reader. My cost? $75.00. I know way more about vaping in less than a month by coming to this forum than I did with the eGo twist and some juice in nine months last year doing it alone.
Almost a month in this time, I'm now vaping 12-18mg when I first wake up and then 6-12mg all day. I've discovered that I really like the custard flavours although I have no sweet tooth to speak of. I will never be a cloud chaser but the beauty of some of the mods and the provari in my hand make me smile. I love shiny stuff now.
I am now at a point where my vaping has now turned into a hobby and along the way, I stopped smoking cigarettes and I hardly felt the transition to finally become one of those people that actually quit smoking.
The most magical of stories above would never have happened if I didn't have the help of someone local to show me the way. He even has an account here on this forum.
I won't say the name of the company as this post is not meant to be an endorsement for anyone. Sometimes though, we truly benefit from local knowledge and have us seeing 'purdy' things in real time.
As I was building my very first micro-coil tonight, we had a conversation about Russians and maybe that's my next step. Maybe I will like mods? All I know though is that I have learned so much from a great B&M vaping shop that believes in the fact that knowledge is power.
ps...maybe he is just being really nice to me because I've spent almost a grand in less than a month.
