I pray that each and every one of you has a blessed day of 'thankfulness' to Almighty God. Being with family at this time of the year is important, but we need to be thankful to God each and every day for the many blessings that He bestows upon us. He is the Giver to all to us. He gives us what we need, and sometimes things that we want. We need to all access our lives to see where and how we receive our blessings. If need be, write them down so that you can see what all He does, and most of the time we never realize them nor thank Him.
Take time to Praise God for your blessings. If you can, spend time with your family and tell them how thankful you are that God put them in your life. If relationships are not so good, see what you can do to rectify the situation. If there is nothing you can do, pray for them. Don't be alone unless you want to. But remember, you are never alone. You don't have to eat a major turkey dinner to be thankful. I don't like turkey.....chicken is good......ham is good......roast beef is good. I love a good fried pork chop, mashed potatoes, black eyed peas, cornbread........mmmmmm........maybe for New Years Eve. Now you're talking! Now that's 'soul' food......or food for the soul!
