I wonder if this would work for a mod....

I've seen how people use all kinds of different batteries and have had made huge mods that contained lots of batteries. I went and found this: Your Online Source For 9 Volt Hitech 1200 mAh Lithium Battery and wonder why nobody has tried this yet? I'm no electrician, wouldn't even call myself a tinkerer in it really. But I could see limiting the voltage on this down to whatever you wanted, and being 1200 mah @ 9v, wouldn't it last longer than all these 1.5v multiple battery mods? Just an idea. I'm sure somebody will come along saying how it's one of those unsafe batteries that would explode like a land mine if it went out. Just an idea that ran through my head. I know I'm not the first one to think of it....

**edit** Plus hey, I know 5-6v vaping is all the rage, but 9v vaping, maybe it would instantly vaporize 3 ml of liquid in 1 hit and give you a massive nic buzz? :D

Ok, I found some other threads that mentioned 9v vaping. Most of the batteries other people had tried were 200 mah, 1 person found 600 mah. They didn't consider those to be worthwhile. I wonder if my 1200 mah I found would be even better then?

**edit again** Just saw that on that link that it says that it's not rechargable. Not sure why, but I guess unless you could find one that was, that $8 a pop instead of recharging kinda kills the idea I had....

Ok, I don't think anybody has read this so far, so I guess I'm posting to myself as I find things lol. I just found this: Amazon.com: 4 AA 3000mAh Rechargable Battery + CHARGER FOR Home/Car 12v 110/220 FOR WORLD WIDE USE: Camera & Photo and wonder why the 14500 batts I see mentioned so often, which is only 900 mah, is preferred? If it has something to do with the voltage, couldn't you double up these batteries and have something better? Sorry, I've never built a mod, and as mentioned above, have no real electrical experience....

I guess I'm just wondering, if you're going to build a massive mod, normally in a box shape, why not use something like this?

While that 9v battery would probably work as a power source... It probably would be too expensive for your average person to use as it is not rechargeable.

Yeah, I saw that afterwards and I realized it was very unreasonable lol. I still wonder though, if people have these huge mods they never take outside the house because they're too big, why not use a huge battery like I put in my last post? It's 8000 mah, seems like it would be pretty awesome. I'm sure you could make a desktop version, maybe make one out of a hookah or something :) Could the battery and charging components in the main body of the hookah, then run the wires up the hose that you would suck air through if it was a hookah, and attach the 510 or whatever connection to the mouthpiece and put a cartomizer on it :D

I'm still waiting for the day when somebody finds a way to use something like a rechargable battery from a cordless drill to make a desktop unit. With a circuit board that had several different cables and a selector switch to allow which cables would be activated and control the voltage so you could have several people vape off of it at once. To me, this would be perfect for a vape party or for using at a brick and mortar store/lounge, or just if you want to vape at home while surfing ECF and not have to recharge for a week....

With the right circuitry, you could lower the voltage and maybe this could work: 19.2 Volt 1/2" Drill Driver Kit

Replacement/extra battery is only $20 too.

**edit** I was thinking, with the right circuitry, you could add in a few usb ports that you could plug your regular batteries into as you vape with the desktop version. you could spend what, $40 in parts, and sell this thing for $150 :D
