I'm very new to vaping. Using an e-cig and prefilled disposable cartridges the company makes. I have used an Ego clone USB passthrough 1000. I liked the vape on that so much, I have been having a hard time enjoying my e-cig since lol.

After reading for most of the last 48 hours on this site(retaining all of this info so quickly with out hands on is difficult, I'm an engineer type I need to tinker a little.) so I'm going to buy a "real" unit.

Would any of you be kind enough to let me know if there is anything else I need, or that I should reconsider before ordering the following:
2 - Vision STV Nova tank, 3.5ml (clearmoizer?) ($14 each the aluminum with the side window ) - Best option for a first timer?
I have looked at IBTanked and I may mistakenly be thinking that 2 of these initially is better than one good one for the same price to start with so I can change out flavors?
1 - VAMO Variable Power, VV APV, Rev.2 - Gun Metal $60 (Which battery type would I want would I want? ) :
Efest 18650 IMR 2000ma battery or Efest 18650 Hybrid IMR 2250ma ?
TrustFire TR-001 Charger

The Big Daddy (Smack your mama or what ever it is called) Tool

I was going to get some tobacco liquid and samplers from Heathers Heavenly. (I'm more of a tobacco, vanilla, coffee flavor guy since that adds in to the tank selection etc ...not a fruit flavor, cinnamon etc )

I know a lot of vaping is personal preference. I want ease of filling on the tank. Honestly I want ease and clean usage with the ability to dial in what I'm doing. I'm a bit of a tech geek. I can't afford to spend for a Provari yet and the eGo Variable looks too new for me to consider it(it sounds to me like they need a version 2 with better menus etc)...I wonder about its toughness also.
I'm looking for a nice home kit start up for about $150ish. I know I will build on, but I need a good start.
Any and all help for this noob is greatly appreciated! :)
Thanks in advance for your time and advice!
M

If you are going to use the Vivi Nova STV you won't need the slap your mama tool, I guess I'm a little confused by your post as to whether or not you are getting the IBTanked tanks or not? I can't advise you on the batteries, I'm not familiar with with hybrid IMR's I use the regular EFest 18650 batteries and haven't had any issues with them on my Tesla.

I recently ordered some flavors from HHV. I got Legend, Pirate's booty, and butter rum. The Legend reminds me heavily of a pipe tobacco type flavor, the Pirate's booty is similar but more dry like a cigar. The butter rum is just that.

Hi - The STV is basically a regular Vivi Nova with a metal sleeve and a window to see the juice level (which you can't do if you get just the metal tube). It's more cosmetic than anything else. The counter-intutive thing about the STV (a.k.a. Neptune) is that it appears to have been created due to customers wanting to see the juice level, but the clear part is made of polycarbonate, which is degraded by certain juices, which is why people where using metal to begin with.

If you think the STV is cool looking, by all means get it, but the performance is no different the a regular one.

Thank you for the input. I was getting the tool for future use.
I was not going to get the IBtanked at this time instead going for two of the others for the same price. But will move to IBtanked as I upgrade I think.

Is there an all metal tank in that price range you could suggest that you use? While I don't want a pink tank lol I don't care if it has a window or about looks, I was trying to avoid what I read about tanks melting/cracking etc.
I do use mostly tobacco's, vanillas and coffee favors..while I don't recall seeing those on the list I would rather not take the chance I guess. I don't do fruits, cinnamons etc.

Hi Nati,

While HHV juice is indeed heavenly.. Shipping can be over two weeks and their juices need steeping ( most of their samples seem to be good right away though) if you need juice super fast try Mt Baker Vapor ( juices not as complex ) but placing order to delivery is two days!!

Thanks Suzi. I haven't read about them yet. I will check them out!

They make an aluminum tube for the vivi novas. Here's a link, but they are available at multiple vendors, I think most of the vendors that sell VN's sell the tubes as well, you will have to purchase it separately but they are only around $4 usually.

Thanks again Sikko! I saw the replacement tubes, I just didn't know if they sold them as a total kit that way and I was missing them, or if another manufacturer of a metal tank near that price point was preferred by more experienced users.

OP, if you are going to vape only coffee, tobaccos and vanilla, don't bother with the metal tube, you will have no problems with meting tanks. When I was using the Vivi Nova, I bought metal tubes and they tended to leak. I would buy extra heads for whatever clearomizer you decide to get, tobaccos and coffee flavors can be really dark and will gunk up your coils.
