My friend got a Blu starter kit. I smoke clove cigs so I assumed that it wouldn't work well for me since I had read quite a few posts stating that the flavor/feel was not copied well by ecigs.

I borrowed one of the two bat/attys he got in the pack and the charger and tried it. After smoking all day at work I went to lunch and was upset that I had to smoke regular cloves because the battery was charging, lol, so... so much for it not working well for me.

I think I've decided on a plan of what to get but wanted some imput. I ordered a Blu starter kit (despite mixed reviews on here) for a convenience while at work (it's a white collar office with no set ecig policy so I'd like to be as inconspicuous as possible ... the official decision may not go my way so ... best to just not have it come up by nobody noticing, lol). I figure the blu's will be a good subtle thing to use at work/at a club/etc. And fairly convenient.

I was going to go with a minichuck for home and try out tasty vapor or some other refill liquids but this is my main problem: I'm very lazy.

I don't mind spending a bit more for ease and convenience if there is a cost/ease conflict. I doubt I'll need excessive vapor, the blu's were almost good enough in that regard so I wouldn't get the 6v batteries, just a the 3.7 standard probably but I'm lost where it comes to attachments. Attys + carts, cartaddys, etc. I've heard 510's were good but I'm not sure.

Basically I want the set up that requires the least drama. I don't want to have to order new atty's constantly because they're always burning out. I don't want to drip because that's headache to me. I basically want an attachment that allows me to pre-fill a bunch of carts or cartaddys once a week or so (if I have the lingo right), where I can just vape it at my desk home and stick on a new one when it's tapped.

Any suggestions for what would work the easiest in that regard on a Chuck? Or if something else other than a chuck which would still allow refilling carts/cartaddys/whatever with a custom fluid would work better?

Appreciated ;)

My wife and I both started on blu back in dec.Through many trial and error I have used a rn4081 510 and 901.I like the 901 personally and have made 3 "AA" box mods in the last 3 weeks for the 1st. time.Kind of cool having the box mods around for backup lol.Hope this helps I know there are alot more experienced vapors out there that might steer you in a good direction, vape on!:D

How about the 510 with cartomizers?? You can even refill those too. With the cartomizers, the 510 becomes a 2 piece PV. An eGo gives you more battery power if you wanted that also and all the 510 "parts" fits the eGo. cignot.com has great prices on both of the models but you'll have to order cartomizers elsewhere. Just my 2 cents worth. Good luck in your search :)

Appreciate the responses.

So with the understanding that nothing like a consensus will ever be reached as personal preference does come into play, would it be safe to say that for using refillable carts the 510 cartatty is a good one piece unit and preferable to a cart + separate atty? Also just a side question:

What are the pro's and cons to the cartattys as opposed to separate attys and carts? IE: with the onepiece combos I'd obviously assume they are a bit more expensive (probably not a big deal to me but I'm curious) and do they burn out faster than say getting a seperate atty and snapping on refillable carts as needed?

Oh, not to be excessive but also... from what I read the volcano refillable carts work on the Blu's. I didn't see any rundown on their site but I assume people saying that they work DID mean the "volcano" carts; not the "magma" carts correct? I'm not sure what the differnence between the two are but I don't want to order the wrong one, lol.

Well, if you're looking for that "just got hit in the chest with a sledgehammer" hit, ecig's may not be able to provide you with the same exact feel, and there generally won't be any flavoring coming off the filter to lick your lips with.

A solid vapor production plus a high MG liquid, some clove flavors are pretty spot on, some not, could very well provide you with a surprisingly similar experience... without the total lung decay cloves provide.

If you're in the market for a PV, and price is not a high point. I'd suggest skipping the 510/901 entry units and going with a tornado/eGo (same unit, different name, different seller basically) better vapor, longer life, uses 510 atty so can use those cartomizers as well to make an easier to manage unit. (not that you couldn't with the right adapters anyways)

Chuck is also another option, the main thing is, you're looking for a harder hit than a normal cig since cloves are distinctly more harsh. The Chuck would give you the 3.7 experience, or even 6v if you needed more vapor production to satisfy. I'm eagerly awaiting my own Chuck but I think I've still got 3+ weeks to go before it's born. :D

the 510 is a cart/ addy/ battery system, you will have to buy addys and fill carts. It is a 3 piece unit.
the chuck is the same thing only a bigger battery

If you want plug and play get the kr808 kit from value 4 life. 2 piece system.
No replacing addys as they are in the disposable carts.
The carts can be refilled a few times if you want to but you dont have to.

Get a manual long battery with the kit , it will give you hours of vaping.
the kit is pretty inexpensive and the customer service is excellent.
NO I am in no way affliated withv4l, I just happen to own the 510 and the kr808
Both are good kits, the 510 is a more fussy play with it kit though.

Ok so do I understand correctly that with a chuck you can basically use any attachment? It's just, effectively, the battery.

If that's the case what are the biggest, easiest carts to refill? From what I've heard it seems that a 510 cart/addy one piece is preferable? Basically I'm looking for something that I don't need to really mod, either an atty refillable empty cart or combo. It seems the difference between the combos as oppose to separate pieces is simply that with the onepieces you don't have to worry as much about the atomizer going as it's intended to not last that many uses anyway, correct? What about the extra large carts I've heard mentioned? If there's no downside to them that seems to me like the preferable way since bigger = less refilling, no?

lol, appreciated.
Dumb question but do the onepiece attycarts have wicking or is it just an empty tube to fill up and cap? When I looked at them it seemed like the latter. I guess it's cheap enough that I can order some of both, attycarts and separate atty's and carts and see which works better /shrug.

And since one person commented actually no, I'm fine with the TH from the blu's. Thought it wouldn't be close compared to cloves and yes, there's no lipnumbing since there's no clove oil to produce the effect but meh, ecigs are good enough for me, I was kinda surprised.

Personally I'm a huge fan of PureSmoker.com I use their Prodigy V2 (used to use their V1), with an 801 atty. It has a nice throat hit but doesn't impact the flavor much. I've used a blucig, and in my opinion they're utter crud compared to my Prodigy. I blew one addy on my V1, and haven't blown one yet on my V2 (I think they came out in January?) My addys have been easily lasting 6 months on it. It's very strongly built and the full kit comes with an extra set of batteries so you don't run into the recharging problem - lol -

I don't think the 810 comes in carts, but the prodigy comes with an options for a 801, 901, or 510 adapter, and I know the other two do.

Hope this was helpful ^^;;

Appreciate all the responses.

I think I'm going to get a chuck for home use and stick to the BLU for work/clubs/etc where I want something a bit more bmw convertible and a bit less heavy-duty dumptruckesque.

Possibly move to a tornado later if the blu fails to satisfy at some point.

I'm thinking 510 for the chuck with cartos.

again, much appreciated all and thanks for no "God shut up and go look it up newb" responses
