Congratulations and welcome to the forum! Great choice on the Vamo, the batteries and charger you have picked out..not gonna be good in the long run I've heard from some of the "old timers".

I have a Vamo and use the Nitecore i4 charger I found on ebay but you can find it all over the web. I bought some NCR18650B 3400mah unprotected Panasonic batteries from ebay and just ordered two more of these long lasting batts from fasttech.com which comes highly recommended although it is shipping from China, it is free shipping if you can be patient. There are some good links to these things in this thread so I won't repeat them.

Does the nitecore i4 charge 18350s?

Udct and vamo sits flush. So get a 510 to ego adapter. I'm waiting on mine. No air flow can't even hit it unless I take off the locking part then its to much air. Just ordered the AGR and a pro tank. But you will still need that adapter with vamo. I love my vamo so far

Would need the adapter with the pro tank.

Ahh, Thanks for the heads-up. This is exactly why I posted up this topic. So I don't make a silly mistake of ordering either the wrong or incomplete parts.

I suggest you research that. I don't have a Vamo, but I haven't heard that an adaptor is needed to use a Protank. Check Steph's picture on the previous page.

Good selections. I give serious consideration to the Sigelei Zmax V3 Telescopic flat top. The electronics do pretty much the same job as the Vamo but the battery choices are a lot broader with the Telescopic. I find myself using 18500 during the day and 18650 at home. 18350 is a small battery but it just doesn't last me more than four hours. YMMV. The Sigelei build quality and one-button menu are big attractions for me.

Trustfire TR-001 is a decent charger. At 500mA it won't heat the batteries a lot. I'd look at the XTAR WP6 II charger. It will charge six batteries at once. Batch charging is a time saver, especially if you are using 18350s.

Smoktech or Boge XL single coil cartos are both good choices and 3.0 ohms will give you a large range of power choices with VV/VW.

A glass tank from IBTanked is a nice upgrade from the Smoktech tank. The 19mm XL tank will hold about 2ml of juice in additon to the juice in your carto. The tank kits include an excellent tool for mounting and filling cartos in tanks.

I like the Siam Mods V2 carto punch from Phiniac, who make beautiful carto tanks.

As you can see, I don't buy all of my gear from one vendor alone.

Yeah, I just did some research. The protank fits the Vamo natively without any adapters. =)
Seems not all Vamos were made equally?
Some people claim they must use an adaptor for the protanks. I ordered my vamo on 4/16/13, so maybe with the new batch of vaporbreak Vamos they fixed this problem? I do not need an adaptor to use my protank. :) I am scared to use an adaptor after reading threads about adaptors pushing the center pin down into the well and the vamo not working anymore, there is a fix for it I believe if this happens. Try not to over tighten your tanks on the Vamo either :)

Thanks for your feedback.
Yeah, eventually I'll be ordering from separate vendors. Was hoping just on the initial purchase I can find most of the parts to get started from 1 vendor, so I don't have to be waiting around for certain parts. (especially if they're coming from china by any chance.)

All these choices, it's quite overwhelming. As with all things, I'm sure I'll get used to this in no time. Had no idea how complicated smoking, erm vaping can get. Kinda reminds me of the enthusiast computer scene. =)
Yes it can be overwhelming, stick with it, vape and don't smoke, ask questions and read the forums, we're here for ya! You can do this ;)

Take notes, there will be a test later.

New to vaping and have become quickly addicted to the hobby part of it.
Customizing and mixing parts is a lot of fun and allows a lot of personality.

I get really into my hobbies ie. high end pocket knives, minimalist wallets, watches, gear etc.
I started off with a Provari mini and will soon be getting into mech mods and dripping.

No, the 9mm bore on the Siam Mods V2 is twice as long as found on the Smoktech punch. This allows faster centering and less deformation of the carto tube during punching. Also, the Siam Mods V2 body is stainless steel. Watch the video at the link I provided.

All of the pieces I recommended are available from good US vendors. You can expect to receive shipment from most of these vendors in 3-4 business days, anywhere in the continental US via USPS. The IBTanked and Phiniac carto tanks are made in the US by the vendors.
