Hello y'all,
Fairly new to vaping, in doing research I kept coming back here again and again and want to learn more to help my Husband make the switch like I did. I was fairly lucky and wandered into a nice local shop while sick with a recurring GI issue. They asked what I needed and I asked to start at the beginning. They were super patient, walked me through the basics of the e-cigs and liquids they sold (Texas Select Vapor), which at the time I liked because its lab made (I work in the medical industry). I got started with my first set up and have not smoked except for trying to be social with the hubs which I barely got a drag off a cigarette before putting it out twice.

He he ended up stealing my rig that first night, leading me to get his own set up. smok RBC clearomizer and a Tornado-T battery with some 24mg nicotine e-juice . At home he uses it, but not enough to keep him away from cigarettes. It's also not practical for him working construction. I just got him a lanyard, but any other ideas or suggestions?

I'm amazed at the difference in my allergies, sense of taste and smell. I think he would enjoy it as well if he would just leave the cigarettes alone.

Thanks for for the help!

dont expect others to quit immediately .... some need time to taper off, it took me a bit more than 6 months to be ciggie free

get him some hi powered juice... maybe 24 or 36 nic level stuff
Heathers Heavenly Vapes carries 36 nic and have some really awesome flavors... Legend, Temptation, Dragons Fire are some of the more popular ones

and consider getting a better built battery and tank for his work enviroment

( SVD by Innokin at Fasttech.com and a Kayfun 3.1 HCigar at Luxor Vapes)

I would suggest going with him to a B&M (brick and mortar) vapes hope and letting him sample different juices. When he finds one that he really enjoys (like most of us...) the coffin nails will taste horrible and that (for me) was THE final straw that made me realize that this was the thing for me to take up doing exclusively rather than simply supplementing my cig smoking. Even if he vapes in place of smoking occasionally (at home, in car etc), he's reducing the toxic chemical intake from the cigs and on his way to a happier, healthier life. Encourage, help and support him without nagging (not saying that you are) and show him that there finally is a better alternative that doesn't taste horrible or have terrible side effects like nightmares etc!! This may help as well

Will those handle being dropped? I understand that expecting them to be otter box resistant is not realistic and having a back up will be essential the sturdier it is to begin with the more likely it will be to last on the road.

If he needs something practical - and construction site proof - take a look at Reos box mods. It's milled out of a block of aluminum so you can't kill it. And since it has a self contained feed system it eliminates the hassles associated with dripping. No glass tanks involved so there is no breakage concern there either.

Thanks for the suggestions. I like knowing there is a higher nicotine option out there.

I guess let me add a few things
1. I don't expect him to quit smoking the way I did, and he's been very supportive of my change. I know for him being over a pack a day smoker he needs time. I just want to make the best options available for him.
2. Maybe one day I'll get him to a brick and mortar store, but he's pretty non-social and the idea of the interaction a store will bombard him with isn't a step towards the goal (after 11 1/2 years together trust me). If given a decent mod he will start to look for more of what he wants, I'm just not experienced enough with the different mods.
3. Flavor wise- he can't seem to taste much after being a heavy smoker for so long so any BIG flavor recommendations with high nicotine would be awesome.

Ive dropped mine more than I want to imagine or want to remember.... and the combination mentioned above has held up quite well
If he is really prone to dropping things then the E-LVT mod is the way to go....

Heathers Heavenly Vapes 100VG 2X flavor shot 24-36 nic Pirates Booty or Legend will tickle his fancy :)

I think the ladies have a big advantage over us guys...a purse. When I started, I found that something small in a small eyeglass case (for travel sized reading glasses) helped me. I started with cig-sized volts from Smokeless Image and plain old cartos. These easily fit in my pocket without any leaking worries. Even after 2 years of vaping, I have larger devices at home and smaller devices for out and about. You might also consider a passthru device he can use in the car.

Variable Voltage EgO/510 USB Passthrough
