I'm in a similar position as my fiance is still a smoker with no desire to quit. I think she is a little interested in the eCigs now that I have gone over 3 weeks without touching an analog but she will be a challenging convert.

Analogs are still cheap in Belize and there are not to many places where smoking is not permitted.

Even the 510 I'm using is too big in her opinion and she is a 2 pk a day smoker so I don't think a mini will be ideal for her anyway.

She doesn't like the weight of my 510.

She is generally resistant to any change in routine.

She definitely will not be interested in refilling anything (at least at first) and cartos can't be bought here in Belize which means either expensive shipping and customs charges or packing a boatload of cartos the 2 or 3 times a year she is in the US.

Any and all suggestions are welcome! So far I am thinking a k808 system with refillable cartos and plenty of batteries might be my best option as long as I can be around to refill for her when needed.

If she feels your 510 is too big she might be happy with the kr808s of the ones out there I like the Volt from Smokeless Image They have gotten some very good reviews - the battery life isn't perfect but they vape like a champ!

im having the same issue with my wife. luckly she doesnt some very much and since i have stoped she has really cut down. i think i could get her into vaping but she says it hurts her thorat. im going to try to get some lower nic level of juice an see if that helps. luckly her smoking hasnt tempted me to smoke but i will still like to get her off cigs as well.

Tell him he has a choice. Cigarettes or kisses. ;)

i know you're kidding, but this is a really horrible idea. i AM the the other half who's still smoking analogs and i've had to justify doing something i've been doing for years to someone who until a week ago was doing the same thing. it's not a good feeling and it certainly doesn't make me want to "join the fun".

everybody's pace is different. some people can switch over immediately and never touch another analog again, others have to do it gradually. smoking actually helped me through a much worse addiction [to painkillers] and although i know it's bad for me, it's hard to quit.

Yes, I was absolutely joking. :)

That's terrible that you're getting pressure put on you like that though. It's certainly not fair to you.

Paint the living room, or wash the walls. Declare smoking off limits there (outside-only is best). No pressure otherwise. His interest in e-cigs will increase as the temperature decreases. Believe me. Been there, done that. I used to smoke only outside. I even vaped only outside. Got cold in Jan/Feb. Moved inside with vaping for a while.

Remember... former smokers are the worst. Try to be cool about it.

    in a cave, eh?
Well, you can try listing a bunch of reasons to quit, but the choice is an emotional one. I'd see if he was interested in committing for a period of time to a cigar-like Go-Go or maybe even a good mod. If an automatic works better for him, look at the Echo. None of them are going to work well on a bike, though.

To Puffadder who was getting a smaller-sized kit for his girlfriend, I would second the SmokelessImage Volt suggestion. You can look at a PCC if you need to extend the battery life.
