1. so far im looking at liquid barn and they have a whole set for 134.99, how is this deal?

2. should i just get a gallon of vg, a gallon of pg, 10-20 bottles of flavors, my own syringes, a beaker, and im good to go?

3. i was advised to mix about 20-30% flavoring, the rest is pg/vg mix, how would i achieve 80% vg 20% pg with about 30% of that is flavoring?

thanks !

You need a calculator. I use "ejuicemeup" and it works great. Do you have a link to the Liquid Barn and the whole set for $134.99? Since we don't know what's in it it's hard to say if it's a good deal.

Here's the link: The Executive – Liquid Barn

Are you not going to use nicotine, it's ok if you don't, just a question.
When I started DIY I didn't have use of all those beakers and such. Those can come later as needed. It doesn't mention the types of flavors so you're kinda stuck with what they give ya. I don't know what the answer is. All I can say is I started out small just to see if DIY'ing was for me and it didn't cost very much to do so. Since trying it I found I love it and so I've accrued all my gear as I go. Sorry I can't tell ya if this is a good deal or not but good luck and I hope you enjoy DIYing as much as I do :).

Without knowing what is in the set (or how much shipping is) it's hard to say if you're getting a deal or not. I can tell you this, that I spent less to get started and had everything I needed, nic included. Also, if you'll be making 20/80 pg/vg at 20% flavor, you won't need a gallon of pg because most flavors are in pg.

There are some who go as high as 30% flavor, but not many. 20% is usually plenty. And that would make calculating easy-peasy. If you do go 30, not a big deal, your juice would be 30/70 and there isn't a huge difference.

to ecf Stinkytofus. And to DIY too. It depends on what you like to vape. More pg will give you a stronger throat hit while vg produces a lot more vapor and is sweeter to me. I get both my pg and vg from http://www.essentialdepot.com/servlet/the-Propylene-Glycol/Categories and have been very pleased with the product as well as the price and shipping. As far as flavorings.......I have gotten so I just like to add a bit of flavor to my unflavored juice. I use Vaping Zone gourmet and super concentrated flavors because you use so much less that I feel like it is more economical. Lots of fantastic DIY threads on ecf. Good luck to you and happy mixing. :)
