I just ordered my first I06 atty. Using a 3.5 ohm (only one I could find available) on my provari.

The first 10 hits or so were amazing. I primed with 4 drops, waited about 5 minutes, added two more and vaped. Worked like a charm. Started to get dry after only a few hits, added a couple more drops and it was awesome.

Now, after a couple times of this the middle of the coil glows red. I added about 5 drops, slightly flooded the atty, and got a couple of poor hits. Then it was dry again.

I blew it out, tried again. Same thing.

I cant seem to get the thing to hit right.

Bumped it down to 4 volts, some good tasting hits(though little vapor). Bumped up to 5 volts, red coil and dry hits. Add two-three drops, tastes good for a second of the hit, then dry....

UGGHH! I have no idea what I am doing wrong

Added 4 drops, vaped at 4.5 volts, (only 5.5 watts....) and got a harsh hit. (Coil glows after less than a second after firing). Added a drop, still harsh. I rinsed and repeated (now at about ten drops) still bad hits.... (waited a minute between each drop).

Could it just be the atty? This is driving me nuts, lol.

I always assumed this meant the atty was dead. I'm not sure how it happens and why the coil still gets hot but doesn't work properly. It could be one of the elements inside is busted and now the atty just gives off immense amounts of heat uncontrollably. I've never been able to save an atty from such a fate and it always perplexed me. Not sure if this is the case with you however.

Have any other devices you can try it on? Just for s---'s and giggles...

All I have (that work) are egos. At that voltage it 'works' on the provari (upwards of 3.5-3.7), but this is a HR atty (very little vapor at that voltage).... they should take 5 volts, no problem.

This cant even take 4.5...

The part that glows is the two center wraps. It's always just that part of the coil (the entire coil does not glow).

I gotcha, was just trying to eliminate any possible issues. It sounds like the coil might be shorting in the center... if two wraps of the coil are touching there, but I don't know, hard to tell without ripping it apart.

Which i was very tempted to do! Lol, thanks for all of the help.
