I've read a few people saying the newest i06's they got had too fight of a draw and one or two people saying they got some DOAs. The latest two I received suffer the same problem(s) but it only takes a couple of minutes to fix them... so I'll offer up the fixes and anyone reading who gets a "bad" one can decide for themselves if they should send them back or just fix them.
Tight draw: You'll need a 1.15mm drill bit (which equals .0453 inches or might be labeled as 1.1506mm). You don't even necessarily need a drill. - For those who are new to attys and cartos, 510 and 306 attys/cartos have a couple of little bitty air holes right at the top of the threads. That's where to use the drill bit to hog them out.
You can just spin the drill bit in those holes with your fingers. It doesn't take very long and you don't have to drill very deep. The first time you need to do that to an atty, spin the bit maybe 30 or 40 rotations, remove the bit, and then try the draw. Rinse/repeat if it wasn't enough. Do the same to both air holes.
If you do decide to use a drill, don't apply much pressure because you really don't need to go very deep and you can destroy the atty if you over-do it.
DOA - well, this appears to be a "pull your post" situation. The new ones I just got have the post recessed in to the bottom. I've run across this a bunch of times before with other attys and cartos and it's an easy fix. pbusardo was kind enough to make a video tutorial so just click here to watch and I won't try to describe it.
Hope that helps a few folks avoid RMA-ing their new i06's.
