Last night, I took apart my iClear 16 and cleaned all the pieces to prepare for a new flavor. Well, I filled it up, everything was going great until I noticed I had no juice left after 2 hours of being away from home. When I got back in from work, unscrewed all the pieces, made sure everything was fastened correctly and that all gaskets were in place, put ~0.3 ml of juice in it, and sure enough, that juice leak out of the mouthpiece. Anyone know what could be wrong? I still have the mouthpiece gasket and the little rubber cover that goes over the coils/wick grooves. Help! I need to vape and avoid the analogs ;(

Update:

Well, after losing ~2.5 ml of my last bottle of liquid, I think I figured it out. Let me explain to all the newbies like myself so you can avoid this happening to you.

On the end of the replaceable heads (pointing towards the mouthpiece) there is a rubber cap that slides up to cover the coils and there are 2 grooves for the wicks to seat in. Well, don't press this piece of rubber all the way down onto the coils. Pull it out a decent ways so when you screw the mouthpiece on, it will press it down and create a seal. If you press the rubber all the way down, there is a small space between the rubber and the mouthpiece where liquids can run out. Just letting new people know so you can save your 2.5ml of liquid.

Well, I was under the assumption that if I slid the cap all the way where the grooves sit onto the wicks, it would be fine. Apparently, you have to make sure it forms a seal when you screw the mouthpiece on. I didn't press it down so far as to flatten the wicks on the side. I'll be more cautious next time I clean the unit I suppose.

Edit: And if you ever run into this problem and you have liquid in there, don't fret. Unscrew the mouthpiece, hold the unit upright so the liquid doesn't drain, and use a pair of tweezers to grab the tit of the rubber cap and pull it up a bit.

I always push the rubber cap down on my iClear16s and iClear30s. I did notice once that the replacement coil on a iClear30 was on a slight slant which caused the rubber cap not seal properly when the mouth piece went on. Replaced the coil and problem solved. These are mass produced so maybe it is just flaw on the replaceable coil?

I vaped 5ml of RY4 in the iClear 16 with no problems. I cleaned every component last night with warm water/q-tip and let it dry overnight. This morning, I was in a bit of a hurry and reassembled the unit, filled the liquids and went to work. It was probably human error. I may have pushed the rubber cap down a little too much (a millimeter is enough for a leak).

Let me start by saying I am new to vaping (been doing it for 2 days) and I received iClear 16's with my iTaste VV V3 starter kit. The first thing I did when I received my kit was fill the tanks that way the wicks had time to absorb the fluid while I charged the battery. I did watch a few videos on what to do but for some reason I unscrewed the bottom thinking this was how I filled it. I immediately realized that this was wrong and I tightened it back up and filled from the top like I am supposed to. I filled a total of 3 tanks all with different flavors and ran into no issues. I noticed shortly after, that the first tank I filled (the one I accidentally removed the bottom first), was leaking slightly from the bottom (right below the clear part of the tank and above the silver ring) but the other ones I filled were not leaking at all. I initially thought that maybe I didn't tighten the bottom enough but it still leaked. Then I came across this thread while doing research and I thought that maybe the gasket wasn't seat right. So once I finished the juice and the tank was empty, I loosened the bottom again and confirmed that the gasket was seated properly in the groove. So I reassembled and filled the tank and now it is leaking worse than it was previously. I have already lost .4ML of juice. I have seen through my research that this seems to happen for several people which is a disappointment. The other 2 tanks I have filled I have not had any issues with. Does anyone know a legit way to fix this or should I just give up and dispose of the tank?

Iclear 16's have a nice tight press fit where the plastic fits into the bottom housing. Take your Iclear 16 and set it on a table standing upright, apply pressure downward and you should reseat the plastic body into the base. Other models in this style are glued together which is great until the adhesive fails. Good luck, hope it fixes it.
