Iclear 30 dual coil question.

Hi guys..

This may seem fairly obvious but I dry burned my i30 yesterday and noticed only the top coil got to the point of giving off that bright glow, the bottom coil just sat there grinning while sunning itself in the glow of the top like it was a tanning bed.

Being dual I assume both should be heating up and my question is, why would one heat and not the other?

Hmmm sounds like a bad coil. I dry burn mine, and they both get nice and red. Or maybe you have the ultra new, not even released yet, Iclear30 SINGLE coil. It's a retro model.

They both should glow evenly. However, the one just may be wet with juice or water. Your head may be hit up. There are many things that it could be.

I'll pick up a new head today *mumbles* if my protank didn't make this banana juice taste like crap I'd be much happier.

Yep... you could try replacing the wick or just the whole head. Either way... it's bad.

Just an update to close out this thread..

i've replaced the whole head, due to the fact rebuilding atty's isn't something i seem to be able to get to work correctly

and a check that both coils were evenly heating and giving the old orange glow revealed, as stated by you guys, that the old head must have gone bad.
