I just got an MVP 2 yesterday that came with an Iclear 30 tank. I really enjoy the i30, but have swapped out my kanger mini protank 2 to use my cinnamon flavored vape.

Is there an equivalent for the iclear30? Or does someone sell just the glass tank to replace the plastic one?
No on both counts. Innokin has come out with a bottom coil, glass tank "glassomizer" (the X.I) to compete with Kanger et al, but it is a dual bottom coil, not like the 30 and the similar 30S dual top coil attys.

I believe there is at least one top coil glassomizer out there... the Vision "Vfate" as I now recall.

Maybe I should clarify a bit better. I really enjoy it's size and the swivel mouthpiece. The way I can see the liquid thru the plastic. But I'd prefer it in glass. Can you recc something? I'm overwhelmed by all the types. I'd like to get my hands on a Kayfun, but those things are way outta my vaping budget at the moment.

Far as I know, only the Innokin iClear X.I has glass and a swivel tip... but it won't be released until March. You can buy and fit a swivel drip tip to any of the current crop of glassomizers from Kanger, Aspire, Anyvape and Vision. If I was into glassos, I'd probably wait for the X.I. or buy a Kanger Aerotank.

Smoktech makes a large capacity, pyrex bottom-coil clearotank which is reasonably priced. These are a two layered tank. The inner tube is pyrex; the outer tube is plastic to protect the pyrex to make the entire tank more durable to accidents.

If you are really keen on a swivel drip tip, I'm reasonably certain you could put one of these on these tanks: Plastic Rotary Drip Tip

You may want to look into pyrex cartotanks like IBTanked. IBTanked pyrex cartotanks: Review

Thanks for all the great information. But I'm really sure what a "Carto" tank is? How do they work and what is involved with them?

Corrected that for you. :)

Cartotanks use an entirely different wick setup from a clearomizer. Clearomizers depend upon tiny silica string wicks for juice delivery to the coil. That's not much surface area and those tiny wicks may have trouble keeping up with a moderate to heavy vaper.

A cartomizer is a metal tube completely filled with wick material which totally surrounds the heating coil in the metal tube. A cartotank uses a cartomizer with "pre-punched holes" in it. These holes allows juice from the tank to replenish the juice consumed in the carto as you vape.

It's my experience that a cartotank provides more flavor and is more consistant than any clearomizer because it is a better wicking system.

Thanks for the correction, and thanks for the response! VERY INFORMATIVE.
So, a cartomizer is a sort of rebuildable.... Or do you just replace the cartomizer? How often in comparison to an atomizer? And what would you need to rebuild if so? Are they as involved as some of the RBAs?

Big question for me.... Does it LEAK? Can I carry it in my pocket?

The cartomizers themselves are not rebuildable. Once they're done you toss them and insert a new one. The life from them seems to vary a lot depending on juice and amount of use ect.... I have yet to try a carto so am just passing on what I've been told. I'm sure Baditude will be able to answer your questions much better than I can! He's the king of cartos around here!

No, cartomizers are a disposable item like coil heads in a clearomizer. They should last about the same amount of time, around 2 - 3 weeks. Drip atomizers can last a couple of months, again another type of juice attachment. There are rebuildable atomizers like the Killer and Sophia which can be used in a cartotank, but they are rather expensive.

Cartomizers do not leak; the wick material contains the juice well. Quality cartotanks will not leak. They have tight fitting o-rings between the caps and cartomizer and between the caps and the tube which prevent leaking. I carry my cartotanks on my mods in a front pocket all of the time and never had a leak.
