I got a VTR, and it came with an Iclear 30s. I am NOT a fan of top coil clearos, and use Kanger EVODs, Protank 2, Protank 2 mini, and an occassional T3 or MT3. I also exclusively use 2.5 ohm coils.

Since it came with the VTR, and I got a bottle of liquid with the VTR from Vaporworld, I put the free juice into the 30s, and all I can say is WOW. This clearo (which is 2.0 claimed, and 2.2 registered ohms) really works well. Tons of vapor and flavor, but it goes through juice like CRAZY.

What I don't know, is how it compares with a Protank using my regular MBV 50/50 juices. The vaporworld liquid is not described on their site as to what pg/vg ratio they use, nor is there any way to compare the amount of flavor added......

I DON'T like the expense of the coil replacements (DV shows $13 for five), nor can I use the 30s for red hot or other nasty juices (PC tank material). Although, some claim that the PC is "fireproof" and can hold up to nasty juices, but I don't necessarily believe that.

Any other thoughts on the Innokin iClear 30S?

I didn’t know Polycarbonate was fireproof, but based on what I’ve read from user comments about fogging/melting tanks; I don’t think PC is chemical-proof, if there is such a thing.

If you have a juice flavor that you absolutely love, but known to possibly damage plastics, you really have no choice but to go with glass/pyrex tank. However, if you really like the way a particular tank performs, but its only available in Polycarbonate like the iclear30 and 30-s, then you need to switch juices.

For myself, I use the iclear30-s with 100% VG, current flavor at moment is green apple mixed with mint. Fortunately, the e-liquid brand I use doesn’t react with plastics, so it’s not an issue for me.

Speaking of which, what flavor is that Vaporworld ejuice?

It's juicy fruit, and quite tasty ;)

I have pro tanks for the nasty juices, so no worries.

I don't believe the "fireproof pc" comment either, but its out there....

I am liking the 30s though... And the swivel tip is cool too.

Vape on!

Hmm, that does sound kinda tasty! I used to go through a large pack of those daily back in the day ;)

If you already know the JF doesn't react with plastic, (I don't see it on the list of red flag juices for PC tanks) then sounds like you are all set. Yeah, I love the 30-s tank, its been my current favorite for the longest time considering I've tried most of the tanks available now (and I actually like them all) I purchased the one off DV that came with the non-swivel drip tip as the swivel tip was a bit too big for my preference:

So then I used my own drip tip and replaced the swivel tip on the original 30 with the 30-s:

Happy vaping!!

Good job on getting your clearos set up the way you like!!!

I first thought the swivel-tip was kinda silly, but since the VTR holds the clearo deep, I've found that the drip tip on my Protanks keeps the VTR a little too close to my face. With the swivel, I can hold the body of the VTR away from my nose.... Does that make sense?

I've been looking for standard 510 swivel tips (Knucklehead?), to possibly put on my Protanks....

Also, the iClear 30s is a little hard to find right now (maybe because they are so new?).

Sun Vapers has them (as well as the replacement coil thingys) for a relatively reasonable price.

;)

I got my 30s with the VTR as well. I have been a die hard Kanger vaper for over a year,l but since trying the 30s I'm about to put all my excess Kanger stuff up for sale. Good clean taste and no burning. It does use more juice, but that is understandable the way it puffs like a steam engine. I like it.

I couldn't believe how much I liked the 30S!!! I HATED my CE4/CE5 so much I went BCC and bever looked back.

I only wish the 30S coils were not > double the kanger coils, and I can't put my nasty juices in it, but nothing is perfect....

I got a 30s with my vtr as well. it tastes at least as good as my cartos. a bit of a juice hog but not as bad as you think. when refilling only takes half as much as it says on the side. also, the clearos are easy to clean and dry burn. I just run them under warm water for a minute then take off the rubber cap and give it a bunch of five second hits. I mainly use swagger in it so it takes awhile to burn the gunk off. swagger would gunk up a carto in a few days but the 30s will go two weeks before a clean and burn. I'll buy a few more as soon as one of the b&ms get some in. love it.

ok ...so back from my cruise and cant find the thread I was posting this on so here goes...I am now upto 23 tanks on the Iclear 30S with no maintenance or drop in performance at all...granted is is a super strong not very sweet 50/50 peppermint DIY but I find that amazing....and yes it does drink juice.

I may need to try a wash vodka soak and dry burn IF I start to have problems

Yeah, same here, I'm up to about 20 full tank refills myself, I kept thinking my taste buds must be out of whack since the original cartridge is still going strong. I wonder what the average useful life of these things are? Good to know that I can get at least 3 more cycles ;)

Speaking of dry burn, yeah, was surprisingly easy. Removal of the top cap is a must, but be careful not to pull out the soaking wick in there, its a bit of a pain to reset, or maybe, I just haven't found the right technique yet. Nevertheless, cartridge cooks the e-juice like it was brand new again.

well I intend to keep posting and refilling my Iclear30s so we shall see 23 full tanks is pretty impressive to me.....I wish they would come out with ones with glass tanks :) Then I would buy a few and dedicate 30's to my favorite flavors. It would be WAY too expensive to keep filled with my AiV however:D and I would never try and switch flavors unless they were VERY close however.

I have a question about taking the cartridge out of the I30S, how do you get it out? I've tried just about everything and I can't get it to budge. I've got the whole thing apart except for being able to get the cartridge/head out. I've been using it for a couple of weeks and really like it but I think it's time for a good cleaning.

To take the cartridge out of the tank, just unscrew the bottom retaining cap and it simply pulls right out. If you are referring to the cartridge itself, it cannot be taken apart. The only removable part is the rubber end-cap.

The coils on these a a bit pricey....and I am still unsure as to the cleaning/dry burn issue but hey do seem to last and last....I can get 3-4 weeks from a PT coil with maintenance and a 5 pack of those lasts me a LONG time....we shall see on these. I hope they will rinse/vodka soak/ dry burn to extend the life of the coils as at the cost of replacement they have to last me 6 months to outshine the PT's ....and then there is still the issue of them drinking juice

Well it seems as though I am not alone. When I first started out I was given a bunch of iclear 16 tanks. Did not like them at all. Hard to fill, easy to flood, etc. I switched to Kangar tanks and have loved the ease of use and am satisfied with the vape they provide. The other day I went to buy some replacement coils, but B&M was sold out and so I bought an iclear 30s. All I can say is WOW. So far this tank is by far the best tank I have ever used. I almost swore off innokin for their tanks completely but they nailed it with this one. Yesterday at work I had both the iclear 30s and kangar PT2 in rotation. When I left them both sitting in my truck while on the jobsite the kangar actually flooded from being in direct sunlight. My guess is that because it is glass, it built up pressure inside while being in direct sunlight. The 30s. saved my ..... Will be buying again!!

With my ADV, the Iclear 30 will mute the sweetness, compared to my protank. It gives lots of vapor, but it like my protank better for taste. Again, this is for lizard juice outlaw 21mg 60/40 pg/vg.

I intentionally did not change juices until I found the setup I like and want to use. Now that I have my hardware squared and a good benchmark, I can play with juices.

KjAthena: Still going strong with yours? I'm well over 30 refills now, cant believe its still going strong. Just to make sure I wasn't mistaken, I tried a fresh coil/carto and as expected, initially, noticed that the new coil wasn't producing as much flavor and vapor compared to the one I've been using. After leaving it alone for a while and taking a few draws time to time without a battery, it now fires up just fine, taste and vapor production is the exact same as the one I'm still using now.

I've been using 100% VG, firing at 9.5W off an MVP2. I top the tank off about 2x a day when its barely below that 1.0ml line.

I'm at the point now where I would literally kill for a glass/polypropylene version of the Kanger T2 and iClear 30.

Am I wrong to believe that Vivi Novas are the only top-coil clearos that come in glass?
