IClear16 affecting ego battery life

So...I was out and about today and picked up some yummy new juice and a couple of IClear 16 atomizers. Was happily vaping away on my new flavors for about an hour and ....hmmmm.....my newly charged eGo C Twist 1100mah battery stops working. It's completely drained. Using Ce4 disposables, I vape all day on my eGo-C Twist and never a problem. I thought it was, perhaps, just a fluke until I got home and the IClear 16 proceeded to drain my 650 Vision spinner.

Which brings me to my question. Has anyone else had the same problem? I was getting incredible flavor and vapor using the IClear 16. Liked it a lot. Do I need to buy a different battery to use with them? If so, what kind of battery?

Dual coil in the iClear 16 vs a single coil in the CE4's is likely whats causing the increased power consumption, but draining an 1100 mah battery in a hour (unless youre literally taking a hit every other second) is NOT normal.

LOL. Wouldn't be able to hit that often. I do take long slow hits though.

^ Agreed. If you're chain-vaping or hitting it hard, the extra power needed to heat up both coils is going to drain the battery faster. Are you 100% sure they're fully charged when you pull them? I know when I bought an iTaste vv/vw, even thought the light was green, I never let it fully charge as the green light needs to turn off before the battery is 100% charged. In any other case, green means go, but with the eGO style batteries, green means still charging.

Dual coil will use more battery life but a two ohm coil is not going to burn a battery that fast. The battery is likely the problem here.

It is a cheap clone but has served well so far. You get what you pay for. I was planning to get a second Spinner and apparently that will be my next purchase. :)

Vision Spinner is great for sure. I just got my itaste vv 3 today, lots of option for the price and form factor IMO. This button rattle is really driving me crazy though. :(

My charger light is red when charging and green when charged. I assume the charge is full, but you never know. And yeah, I do tend to chain vape in my car. The same way I used to chain smoke in my car.

If the Twist is like all other models, the light needs to shut off before you vape, otherwise it's not fully charged. It should run it's course from Red -> Yellow/Orange -> Green -> Off, with Off being fully charged and ready to vape. I made the same mistake with the vv/vw and had the same experience. I vaped for about 1-2 hours and it was dead. Once I let it fully charge to completion, it lasted about 5-6 hours.

I'm not sure of the differences between the iClear 16 and the iClear 30, but my ego-t battery won't even fire my iClear30 - just doesn't seem to have enough clout to manage it. It's a relatively old battery (my first, actually) and I've since stopped trying to run the dual coil on that batt.

Might be a duff battery, of course (in both cases)
