I have no idea what my battery outputs are but I totally agree on the ohms 1.8 is too hot & the 2.8 gives so little flavor & vapor & the throat hit is non existent.

I am trying hard to get used to the Vivi....I am at the end with my V3 head supply. I don't care for the "pull" on the Vivi...too much air, not enough resistance & it seems to dilute my flavor.

That is wierd you are getting air pulls. I get huge vapors on the Vivi. I'm coming from a boge 2.0 cartomizer and the vivi is night and day. If you are using a standard 3.7 volt battery on the 2.4 head you wont get much vapor.

The actual resistance can vary quite a bit from the rated one. It helps to be able to measure the actual resistance with a multimeter or a mod designed to do so. Maybe your 1.8 ohm coil is really 1.6 ohm for example. A 1.8 ohm resistance needs to be vaped at around 3.3-3.6 volts. At 4v for example, it will definitely be too hot. The key to understanding this is understanding wattage. Because of Ohm's Law a 1.8 ohm resistance at a lower voltage will produce the same wattage as a higher ohm resistance at a higher voltage. If the wattage is identical in say, 1.8 ohm and 3.0 ohm coils the vape should be very similar. There are other things that come to play, the type of juice being one and the number of wire wraps on the coil being another. But using the same juice on coils from the same vendor should produce the same vape at a given wattage. This is the reason for the newer mods that allow you to set the watts at which to vape. Then you can change the resistance at will and the mod will measure the actual resistance of the coil and automatically adjust the voltage to produce the wattage you set it at.

Just trying to get a idea what people are vaping on the VV's juices. I say vaping around 7-8 watts is ideal. I like to vape my vivi nova 2.4 ohm. at 4.2-4.3 volts for fruit juices and around 4.5 volts for darker juices like the kona coffee milkshake. Didn't really like the 2.8 ohm head and 1.8 is just too hot and kills my battery too quick.

Hang in there. You can figure out what's going on with your Vivi Nova. I have a Vivi Nova but it's worked flawlessly since new so I'm not very familiar of possible issues with it. Did you try drawing on the Nova by itself when not screwed on a battery? A Nova is normally pretty tight draw so anything that blocks it's vent holes will just make it unusable. Do you have anything else than the Nova on your battery, like a sleeve or adapter? Are you sure the coil is getting current? Do you hear it sizzle?

P.S. I just read above your Vivi pulls too much air. This is not normal for a Vivi as it draws very tightly. Are you sure yours is not a cheap knockoff? I have heard there are many around and they have problems. Oh, just remembered. Try screwing down the head. These screw on/off and they can come loose from the factory. If is not screwed down tightly it may not make contact and thus not fire at all and maybe it also explains the loose draw.

P.P.S. If your hubby's vivi Nova works fine, try using its head on your vivi Nova. If it works there is something wrong with yours. You need to know the actual resistance of your coil. If it's too high, you may need higher voltages to vape properly. If it really comes down to too much air flow you can try sticking a toothpick in one of the air holes at the base, just one, and try it again.

OMG... a pack if cigs and a bic lighter was so much easier :) I am having real delivery device issues now...frustration unending & I am so very close to my 1 year date! Uh!

I tore them both down last night & cleaned/inspected them...All the seals are in place. I put them back together & screwed everything down tightly. When I draw on it empty, not screwed onto the battery...air, lots of air. Could be that I am just used to the tight draw of my Visions V3's. Hubby took my sleeve that covers the battery threads. He needs the stability at work more then i need it here at home. Yes they work & I hear the sizzle. Your air hole idea was smart.. I plugged both air holes by breaking off a toothpick & screwed it down to the battery...nothing. I am just going to leave one hole plugged all the time! Way better!! Great idea!!

It's an authentic Visions ViVi Nove (mini). I did make sure everything is tight when I put them back together. I am not going load them again until my "Twist" battery comes...just to test the battery output theory. Hubby uses a twist. I have a "decorator" 1100, a "knock off" variable & an Ego C upgrade. Maybe a good Twist battery will help....?

I am currently using 2.4 coils. I hate the higher level one & the 1.8 seems to burn too "hot" on VV juices...especially with the tobacco flavors but...that is 1.8 in my V3's. I haven't tried the 1.8 in the ViVi. I am going to give the 1 hole plugged a whirl when my new battery arrives. I've some new flavors steeping :)

Thanks for all the info/thoughts....I love the toothpick idea!!

I am currently using a ProVari 2.5 with Vivi Nova & 2.4ohm head. Although I am still playing a bit with the voltage, I stick around 4.2 to 4.4 on my VV juices(currently vaping the Dark Roast Turkish Coffee). I am going to be cleaning the tank & changing to a 1.8ohm head as soon as it runs empty to see how I feel about it...I like my LR Atomizer more than the standard so I am hoping that I like it more.
