It's up to you. *shrug*, IMHO the eGo looks silly w/ the threads exposed(cone threads)

.... but it's really just personal preference. Some people say the cone does something to the heat of the vapor or something (can't remember) I don't use mine, I like how it looks 'naked'.

they DO fit over the cartomizers though.

Well, my problem at the moment is I don't know where the cone is. I figured it was over the threads, but I'm at YouTube now trying to figure it out. The video I just watched just shows a carto and battery, but I'll keep checking it out.

YouTube - MEGA EGO CARTOMIZER

At about 30 seconds, he screws the two pieces together, and it looks fine to me. Maybe I'm missing something, tho.

Thanks

Oh, yeah, I take it back... that's a mega eGo carto - I should have read the rest of this thread before opening my big mouth (again).

The standard eGo cone will fit over a standard 510 cartomizer. That make more sense?

Yea it tightens the draw abit, and also moves incoming air past the atty/carto thus preheating it. When I was using 510 attys It did work better to me. It is a personal thing. I just don't use the tiny 510 stuff anymore. It's just to little. lol

I thought you were talking 510 cartos. It isn't needed w/ eGo mega cartos/attys

Well, now I'm more confused than before. I'm gonna buy an eGo 1000mah battery and use it only with a 510 cartomizer.

Here's the battery:

Joye eGo 1000mah Battery - Black

All I can find are "atomizer cover cone" in the product list at both litecigusa and cignot....nothing about just a cone to fit over a cartomizer.

"atomizer cover cone" is what you want. In this case your atomizer IS a cartomizer.

It's the same thing. A carto is just an atty and cart combined.

So I need a cone if I'm gonna use the 510 cartomizers, but I don't need a cone if I buy the eGo Mega cartomizers.

I think I get it now! Sorry, took me awhile, but I watched that YouTube video again, and it made more sense. There must be threads inside of the outside threads on the battery end, so when I screw on the little 510 carto, the outside threads will still show between the carto and the battery. And a cone will cover the carto and then screw into the outside threads of the battery. Then there should be a hole at the mouth end of the cone.

Sorry to be such a pain, but this is all new to me. It's easier if I could see a detailed picture or see it all in person. So, now I need to go search for a cone (which neither litecigusa or cignot sell separately...unless I missed it).

Thanks!

Yup, I missed these earlier. Thanks, Rosa. I added two black covers to my shopping cart at cignot. The pic at litecigusa shows the mouth end, and it appears to be all open, so I'll be sucking out of the little hole at the end of the 510 cartomizer (I think..ha). Now I'm wondering if there's much performance/quality difference between the 1000mah and the 900mah, but costwise, there's hardly any difference, so I'll just go with cignot and the 1000mah.

Thanks again for all your help, everyone!

equates to an extra 30-60 minutes of use. Nothing more, but worth it IMHO.

Got my two eGos this morning -- less than two days after I ordered them from cignot (but cignot ships from Illinois, and I'm in Michigan). Throat hits, flavor, and vapor seem to be about the same as the Volcano Magma passthroughs I've been using for the last week, but I'm really looking forward to having batteries that will last for 8 to 12 hours when I'm not in my car or at home. They're charging now, and I also have five Mega eGo cartomizers to fill (I'm babysitting for my grandson now, so I'll wait until later today to do that). Thanks to everyone who helped me with making this purchase!

(I got two cone covers, too, but I don't know if I'll use them or not. It's another thing to screw in, but I have a feeling I'll use it when I'm sitting at a Keno machine.)

Oh, man! If I'm just gonna use cartomizers, do I need a cone? :)

As it turned out, I didn't need the cone cover and wish I hadn't ordered two of them. You have to screw on the cartomizer and then screw on the cone cover. Then when it's time to change cartos, you have to unscrew the cover and then unscrew the carto. Too much hassle for me, and I don't care how it looks without the cover. Actually, it's easier to vape without the cover. Throat hits are better, and I don't have to drag as much with the cover off. I might see if Vicki at Cignot will let me return the two covers.
