right here we go if you make this please be careful only use protected bats i'll give a full how to when i have more time but basically when you get the case a few bits need removing you will realise which. one thing to remember the case will be negative so doing it this way you will have to isolate the atomiser thread that sits in the modded case with epoxy glue then pick up the negative with the switch and send it back to the atomiser thread housing the positive is very easy i used a brass rod about 2mm diameter drill a small dimple in the top and the positive on the atomiser thread housing will sit in it a couple of rubber washers keeps it in place and it goes directly to the pos on the bat sounds complicated but it isnt sorry for the short write up any specific questions feel free to ask ://img515.imageshack.us/my.php?image=schematic1.jpg (add http at the front)

This is wishbones baby, i had nothing to do with the design or build. I just posted the picture from the link that wishbone provided. I do hope to build my own this weekend though.
you only need the connector, if it doesnt pull out , then remove the LED cap , pull out the cell , then your just left with the battery shell and the connector. Cut the shell with some snips and prise the connector out.

lmao ......the modders have created a modding addict.....there is no stopping Nicowolf now.
with the 801 'classic' connectors , the ones i have removed have come out relatively easily.
I just used an old atomzer , screwed it on the battery and gave it a good wiggle and a pull , both the classic terminals i have removed have come out nicely like that.
but sure , destroy the dead battery all you like if your only after the connector, just be carful with the cell you removed and dispose of it safely.

ok now i am jealous...I have used heat, cold, water, the last resort of a bfh and none worked. guess I will just trim it and leave the connector glued in, hopefully it will be a good conductor. Sand the paint off and use it
my case came in and i had set up the drill with a nut driver and wraped it with sand paper. I used it to widen the inside diameter to fit the cr123a, it was a snug fit just as you said.
The micro switch i got from rat shack is too big. I am going to stop at fry's on the way home today and look for a smaller switch.
