WELCOME TO THE ECF

I think that a regular cig only has 10mg plus enhancers. So, I would say something like 36mg would be a good start if you smoked a pack of those a day.

Ultimately, I would suggest you get some sample bottles of 36 and 24 mg to see how you like each one first. Then, you can move from there and get more samples of flavors that you like in the mg that you choose.

You really can't determine which mg your juice should be by what you smoke. It's really a combination of how much you smoke and just plain experimentation. I suggest buying a couple of different levels, usually 18mg and 24mg. 36mg is extremely high for starting.

There are people here who smoked a pack of Ultra Lights and found that 24mg worked. I'm one of those. OTOH, there are folks who can't go above 16mg and smoked full flavor cigarettes. You can also use two different levels, such as 18 and 24. This is something I also did to help keep me off the smokes. I would use 24mg for when I was away from home and couldn't vape whenever I wanted, and used the 18mg at home. I will still do this, even after a year, although I use the 18mg more than the 24mg these days.

Since vaping doesn't equate directly to smoking, finding the right nic strength can be a trick. My wife and I used to smoke the same cigs, about the same number of them per day. She vapes 6mg, I vape 24mg. We started at 12mg. It was too much for her, and it left me wanting. Apparently, I used to hit the cigs more often and harder than she did.

Once you do get it settled tho, the mistakes along the way can be remedied - for example if my 24mg had been too much, I could mix it with some 6mg and the result would be 15mg. So all is not lost - in fact, you end up with more juice out of the deal - certainly not a bad thing, right?

...as other stated, it does not equate...I smoked 3ppd of a light ciggy and started at 12mg...it wasn't enough and moved up to 24mg and it knocked my socks off and crossed my eyes...I have settled in at 16mg and very happy at that level...I can vape all day and not get wonkified(tech term)...I would recommend starting at 18 and moving up or down from there...............

18mg - 24mg is the most common level vaped by a large margin based on polls from various vaping forums. Vaping is not nearly as efficient in delivering nicotine into your system as smoking is. I would get some 24mg & 11mg of the same flavor and start with the 24mg. If you find it's too high, just mix in some of the 11mg to get the level that works best for you.
