Well, I do a load of laundry and the septic tank decides to turn on me. Won't go into shi**y details, but here I am outside at 8 a.m. digging up 2 tanks so the pumpers can get to it. NO COFFEE! So, I'm out there practically in tears, yeah, I'm a big baby. And I'm telling you the stress was really bad for me, I hate this kind of thing almost as bad as having my car break down.

Well, anyway... I didn't go for the cigarettes, I just popped on my comfort carto of Banana Cream Pie and vaped away.

Oh, I'm a woman by the way, so digging and breaking my nails are NOT something I like doing.

So, after digging all this up and vaping my head off, I start thinking... Hey! I am strong, after all.

Guess I don't have to go to the gym today. LOL

Wow Pugz... sorry to hear about the troubles. Just make sure you don't vape that stuff.

Thanks, guys. I was really considering shutting everything off and hiding in my bed in a fetal position. That way, nothing else can get to me today. hahaha!

But, heck, if I can get through that, why not stay out in the world and see what other kind of trouble I can get into?

And I think I will go to the gym, after all. Only gonna do LOWER body workout, though, the top got done early.

WOW! Pugzley! a big round of applause for you! I would have gotten in my car, headed for the closest coffee shop, smoked my brains out until lunch time, then go for a liquid lunch, then a big nap and hope that when I woke up that it was all just a bad dream!
You GO Girl!!

LOL@ mema! Don't think it didn't go through my mind! And I don't even drink.

I think today made me realize that I am really, really finished with cigs forever. I said I was before, but hadn't really had anything stress me out like this as a challenge since I quit.

I didn't need them to help me under stress and I won't ever need them again, the vaporizer worked just as well as the cigs would have and tasted a heck of a lot better to me.

Yeah, this proves it, I. AM. DONE. SMOKING. FOREVER.

It's funny but when i smell smoke from a distance for a sec it smells good...then I just go 'blech' and realize how nasty they really are. I was vaping in the breakroom at work yesterday and a co-worker happened to walk right into a big ol cloud of vapor and he said 'That smells good!', it was English Toffee;)

Good for you Pugz! You should be proud of yourself, those days suck, and septic systems reallly suck!

A little story to make you feel a bit better,
We went to repair a sewer line, supposed to be tree roots grown into it and it was going to rain latter that day. All I kept hearing "This will only take a couple of hours Andy, just take out the tree and patch the line and we are out of there! Just a couple of hours!"
Well we dug out the tree, dug up the sewer line, no break, no blockage, this is odd! As we dug more, the line did a 45 deg. turn and went under an addition that had been built, the foundation settled and severed the line.
It was 22 outside, freezing rain, sleet and snow mixed when we finally got done at 10:30 that night. We replaced the entire line, 240' of it!
I got home and had to wring out my underwear and my phone didn't work right for three days!
It could be worse:D

Oh Pug..I am so sorry! But your telling of it was funny! I am just glad it wasn't me! Our line goes to a sepic thingy waaay out back. I would have hit something and fallen in!
Glad to hear you didn't cave in..I know the feeling, stress and frustration are the worst.. We are just a bunch of "quitters" around here!

Wow, heck of a way to see if you pass the big smoke test! Congrats on not running for a cig!! I hope it gets fixed and all goes back to normal (though I don't really know WHAT that is!!) very soon!!

The big question here is, did you smoke or vape during this stressful time??? :)

I have one, too. My 50 year old furnace went out last Thursday night/Friday morning. Outside temps were below zero that night so the timing was bad, to say the least. I woke up to 49 degrees in the house Friday morning and that is when I realized that the old beast wasn't working. Called the repair man, he charged me $95 to show me where to give it a good whack with a screwdriver handle to bring it back to life. He also told me it's on life support and may not work tomorrow, let alone the rest of the winter and that I would just be throwing money away to have them do anything more to it.

So I need a new furnace and wake up every day hoping I can't see my breath in the air. I can't pay for a new furnace, so I am keeping my fingers and toes crossed that it keeps us warm just one more winter. But here's the bright side to the story... even amid all of this stress, it did not even OCCUR to me to smoke a cigarette!!! Not even once, not even for a nano-second!!! And when I read Pugzley's story was the first I even realized this! It's truly amazing, and again I owe so much thanks to V4L and you people for making this possible. :)

HA!! My sewer line story was about three years ago, I was a chimney then!!
But I'll take you up one on the heater for sure! A week ago Friday our heaer went out, Heat pump (don't buy one!) that was instaled in 2003 for a large sum of money, and every two years the $350 control board goes out! I called early Saturday, they called me back Monday morning! Thankfully we have a wood burner, the average temp was 18 last week (except for Friday it was 53?) with one night getting down to 3.
They FINALLY got it fixed Thursday afternoon, at the tune of $630!! Plus the battery in my truck went out, I hadn't priced batteries in a while, I wasn't ready for the $100 I needed to spend on that!
An average of thre hours of sleep a day, waiting on calls for when it was convienent for the HVAC guys to come, a minor ice storm and going stir crazy, no analogs!
