If more wire = higher ohms....

Hi.
My name is Marcel and Im having troubles with my builds.
Im doing my builds since a few months now, but is almost the same: 24 ga, 6 to 8 wraps, around 2.5 or 3 mm screwdriver.
Mostly single microcoils.
I wanted to lower my ohms, let´s say 0.3 or 0.4 ohms and there was where my troubles began.

So first, I have this question:
If more wire = higher ohms, why we use lower gauge (24, 22 gauge) to build lower resistances?

Im using the Steam Engine Coil Wrapping calculator (Coil wrapping | Steam Engine | free vaping calculators) and for a target of 0.4 ohms with 24 ga, 2.5mm inner diameter, the wraps must be 4.5.

In theory, its all good, but I NEVER get a 0.4 ohms build. I tested all the builds I made in different mods (MVP Pro, innokin Disrupter, Snow Wolf 200 W, Kloopor Mini, Kloopor Plus) and in many different tanks (Subtank Mini, Morph, Lemo 2, etc) and is always around 0.8 or 1 ohm.
So, what am I doing wrong?

ohhhkay... thicker wire ( lower ga. number) has lower resistance per inch . parallel build have lower resistance in total ( by half if both coils are the same size) so in effect, if you build 2 @ 1 ohm coils you end up with . 5 ohms overall... but you need to know what your batteries are capable of in output amps, dont exceed the amp ratings of the battery combinations if you are using more than 1 battery

Longer wire = higher ohms
Thicker wire = lower ohms

Either one of these could be considered "more wire," but only one of them results in higher ohms.

So, you are saying if I take 3 inches of 24 ga and 3 inches of 28 ga and I do two identical coils with them, the one made out of 24 ga will give me lower ohms than the one made out of 28 ga, right?

Now, the other thing... How can I get a 0.4 or 0.3 ohms build with 24, 26 or 28 ga on 2.5 or 2 mm scewdiriver? What is the best build for that?

The more wraps means the total length is longer. Think of the wire like a road, a long, thin (higher gauge) road will take longer to travel (higher resistance) than a short, wide (lower gauge) road.

So, 6 wraps on 28g will have a higher resistance than 6 wraps on 24g. Also, 9 wraps will have a higher resistance than 6 wraps on the same wire gauge.

Do you, by any chance, have steam engine set up for dual coils and you're building singles? And you really need a resistance meter.I recommend USAOhmmeters. You can buy cheaper ones but they're not as accurate or as long lasting IMHO.

thicker wire = lower ohms ontop of that less wraps. wraps also define ohms the more wraps the higher the ohms but if your using thicker wire it will be lower in ohms due to less resistance it's basically like a straw. thinner straw less liquid to suck up and so it takes longer but a thicker one can suck up a lot in the same amount of time. the longer it is the longer the travel distance. less travel distance means less distance the current needs to travel and i would HIGHLY assuming this means more vapor production in less time but due to the lack of surface area from the short coil if doing a single coil and low ohm build it will not produce a great amount of vapor thus you dual coil for more surface area.

of course this is just my 2cents it seems to basically land to one thing. more vapor in less amount of time due to less travel distance and faster heat up. thicker wire = heats faster = more vapor in a faster pace
