If my vmax smells burnt

Chances are its fried?
Ill try to keep this short.
Was building a coil for my phoenix clone.
Coil built and thru it on the max to test ohms.
I think I had the mesh a little too long and when I sealed the phoenix it was touching the side wall. Hit FIRE and now 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9 is the only thing that shows up with any tank I connect.
Battery on top near electronics looks like this now and the vmax tube smells burnt

Did I fry the board or something?

yes it happened to me.... read my post my doodoo vmax bs thread..what happens is the way they set the cap the wires are to close together so when the positive post is pushed in just a lil by the atty it creates the short positive and neg are both soldered to the cap,instead of having the neg to the body...contact smoktech they are well aware of this problem...
