Here is what has changed from the older version vs. the new V4 VMax:

  • [*]Batteries do not fit properly into bottom cap (too tight) on older versions
    [*]Material construction - too soft, threads strip very easily on cap on older versions
    [*]Electronics: older versions start up in 5V (new version start up at 3V)
    [*]Centre post is seated deeper on older versions
    [*]Newer version has slightly better air-flow cuts
    [*]Newer version has higher quality construction

Just got mine. Another change is that turning off/0n the display LED actually turns the 3 digit display on or off, not the blue button led.

I love it so far as far as vaping goes, but twice it has reverted to default settings for no reason. I hope this doesn't keep happening.

I'm about to pull the trigger on one. You still happy with yours?
