This makes me want to try so much harder now. Ive been doing good and sneaking in a stinking every few days but this kind of evidence can really motivate you!

You'll get it.

Besides, having a smoke here and there is still way less than what you were doing. Don't beat yourself up and just continue to slide into vaping.

Richmond, Va...Right in Altria's back yard.
7 months. Increased blood flow in all areas :) Can hold my breath for a minute 20 seconds on average.Breathing easier, getting sick less often. Have more energy and notice that I seem to be stronger.....have always been strong but I can lift something heavy for much longer periods of time before my muscles get tired.

sense of taste and smell finally starting to come back. My skin and hair look healthier. My gums were receding and thats been completely reversed.

In short, I feel 10 to 15 years younger.

I started vaping a month ago. First week I had about five cigarettes, but I've been completely smoke free since then. Although I've been vaping only a short time compared to the twelve years I smoked (a pack a day of Marlboro 27s for the last two to three of those), I'm already feeling major differences.

I've always considered myself relatively in shape, active at the least, but smoking always held me back. A tight chest was just something that I had to deal with whenever I would surf, shoot hoops, etc.

In the last week I've had multiple four to five hour sessions out in the water without ever feeling like there was a bag of bricks laying on my torso, as was the norm when I was still smoking. Getting held down after a wipeout isn't quite as panic-ridden as it was before. And my paddling endurance has also significantly improved. Basically, not only am I able to have longer sessions, I am also using my energy more effectively when I get out there. Not only am I having more fun, I'm also safer.

I haven't been able to get out and play hoops yet though. My friends and I usually start playing on Sunday nights in the summer so I will be playing again consistently soon. A lot of the guys I play with smoke too, not as much as I did, but now I'm looking forward to surprising them with my new found wellspring of energy. Furthermore, playing full court games doesn't sound painful and ridiculous anymore. It sounds like fun.

Overall the biggest thing is that my confidence has gone from generally good as a smoker, to through the roof as a vaper. And that shift in my psyche has translated to physical improvements across the board.

I smoked about 15 cigs a day. Today, I complete 1 week of not smoking a single cigarette for the first time in 28 yrs.

Since starting last week, I vape around 2.5ml/day of mostly RY4 (12mg/ml nic).

About once or twice a week I play soccer with my teenage son. He kicks the ball, I play goalkeeper and use the stray balls as an opportunity to jog and get some exercise, even if I was a smoker.

We played soccer last night and a stray ball went over the goal. As usual, I jogged back towards it, and I suddenly felt an amazing sensation - my lungs expanded more than they ever have in a very long time, without hurting. I could take in more oxygen, which gave me a feeling of strength. It was a bit of a taste of what "normal" lungs feel like. It was a liberating feeling actually.

Vapo on, my friends.

I'll be a year in June...but i worked out (bodybuilding) type training even while i smoked

at first i noticed while on a treadmill i improved, i haven't seem to have been making huge improvements in terms of cardio since then...lifting was never really bothered by smoking though and i was always the person who told himself that smoking never held me back in terms of fitness

when someone asks about vaping though i always have to mention the sense of smell being the biggest difference i noticed right off the bat, that came back quickly...now i just think i've become used to it

i don't get flem in my throat anymore, but i wasn't all that bad to begin with though....i only smoked for 7ish years and i'm still in my 20's so maybe that plays a factor

edit: in the bodybuilding world ppl do use nicotine to carve hunger cravings to loose weight and for mild stimulants....a few guys i know use the gum but don't smoke or never did

I have stopped coughing up thick, brown, wobbly phlegm (35 yr smoker) every couple of hours !
Smoke free for 9 months now and can comfortably do a 2 mile power walk whereas 9 months ago i could hardly do 1/4 mile.

PROS; I don't stink, don't have to redecorate my house every year, i have no burn holes in my clothes, i don't panic because i'm down to half a pack of cigs, my teeth are whiter, no headaches or fatigue, found ECF, food is tasty....................

CONS; Ummm... I spend a fortune on tissues !

48 hours smoke-free ( is unbelievable even for me) ,after 25 years of minimum 2 packs/day.No headache or anything else, just feel great.
However i noticed watching countless reviews that most of the reviewers use to sneeze often , some of them even cough from time to time - i ask because as a heavy smoker i don't have any of the above.
( one more question please,i use aprox 3.2 ml 24mg nicotine e-liquid per day ,is it too much?)

No that is not too much at all !
Average user is 2-6 mg a day...but there are so many variables....
What your Vaping gear is ?, How much did you smoke before ?....and many others.
What's important is that you are getting the nic that you need...not how much you get !
Your not smoking...so vape as much as you want and need !

Now, I was a 40+yr, PAD+, 'Marlboro Red' smoker....
Quit, the day I got my eGo-C kit.
I vape quite a bit, not so much during the day...but in the afternoon-evenings.

I can beat the high school kids up three flights of stairs after lunch.
My dog goes on long walks in the woods with me now. He and I are thining up.
Laying in bed, don't have that heavy chest, wheezing sounds, and the pain in my extremities is gone !
Breathing deeper, feeling much better and able to work without tiring so easily...
It's great !

Thank you,i thought first i exagerate , actually i think i am vaping exactly the way i eat a good meal :)
3 days ago i bought a Fling ( dispensable) ,the same day i took a CE4 cartomizer and quickly attached to a homemade regulator& 18650+ voltage booster ,works great , A k100 is already ordered and i am on line for a Nemesis.I use a local 70/30 ,coffee flavour ,18 mg nicotine.
After 48 hours whithout smoking i can carry my little one( 20 kg) upstairs whithout breathing like a horse after a 20 mile run...it's amazing , i think i am kinda shocked...not to mention that i can use my nose as a detector now ,i just discovered this way 2 unpaired socks under my bed...

- Taste Better
- Saving Money (well not if I continue to find fancy Mods)
- Healthier Gums (I dont have periodontal disease anymore 6 months after vaping, dentist was shocked)
- No More hacking up crap in the mornings
- No More smokers cough throughout the day
- Safer for myself & family (from whats shown not near cigarette second hand smoke)

Thumbs DOWN

- Fancy Mods are Pricey as all get out & I'm liking everyone of them LOL
- Oily skin. (I have never had skin this oily before)
- When you get a dry hit

I smoked a pack a day for 18 years. Now I'm at 2.5 months without a cig...and loving it. I think the first 3 weeks was the hardest. I would puff on a pv nonstop trying to replace that smoke. I think I was moderately dehydrated the first month of vaping. When people say to drink lots of water they aren't kidding. Aside from the typical feel better, breathe better, smell better, etc. that everyone has mentioned, my favorite is the incredible return of my libido. I feel like a 20 year old again. It truly is amazing. Another thing that I recommend after quitting is going to the dentist, get a good cleaning, and consider having your teeth whitened. It cost me about $400 to have trays made and for the whitening fluids, and was worth every penny. I can never undue all of the damages I did to my body by smoking, but it sure is nice to minimize some of those damages.
