It pops the coil rite where my toothpick is and melts the plastic screw. Is there something missing I don't know about?

This plastic screw is negative. Positive wire(s) should end at small o-ring.
Did you use R-NR-R wire? If you use just R wire it should be hot down there and you can then smell burning of plastic.

Yes I used pure nickel wire and kanthal. I've set up many many Penelope's and odys in my day this is just being stubborn its like there is a insulator missing somewhere

So I just built my first Dual Highlander coil after watching bishopheals video. Even on a pretty cheap regulated PV this thing is a game changer. .8ohm at 16 watts. Vape is insanely hot and flavorful. I added the extra silica between the two coils as bish suggested and I love it! Calling it clouds doesn't do it justice. Insane vapor production, even on quick drags. Thanks for the videos bish and thank you Imeo for such a phenomenal device.

Thanks Sathorael,

If I may suggest the Flat ribbon wire for an added razer edge vape feel with huge moisture clouds. Glad you like the build.

Imeo, I have a dual coil setup and running parallel to eachother (=) <-- like this. Anyway, I'm getting a really strong throat hit and it has made me take smaller draws because if i take a longer draw I'll cough my lungs out. Any suggestions on how I can minimize the strong throat hit? Should I add another wick? Any suggestions would help. BTW, the ithaka (#3079) is my first RBA running on a Gus G22. This device is amazing!

lower your nicotine. Dual coils makes you vape double the quantity of liquid (give or take).

I have also been running the parallel wick/coil setup and love the throat hit. It does make me cough every now and then. The throat hit isn't too strong. Not for me, at least. I've had some smokers hit it with the dual coil on 7.4v and they hack up a lung. It's kind of funny to watch.

Might have to try the highlander setup.
