If you had 2 matching mods, would you "deface" one?

I know, this is a lame question but I am curious.

If you had a pair of polished Nemesis mods, would you alter one to have 2 mods that weren't identical?
I have a pair but wish I didn't. One I purchased intentionally, the other was sort of part of a package deal.
Resale isn't really an issue since I will hang onto the older one that I am thinking about doing a brush job on, and can sell the other if needed. It is fairly clear that the polished version is either the least desirable, or the market is saturated, which is effectively the same thing. Have contacted sellers in the classies for trades but always receive the same 2 responses- I already have one OR not interested in the polished model.

So, the question- would you alter your clean and undamaged Nemesis on purpose?
As I said, just curious.

It depends, if you think you will be able to sell it then leave it original. If you want a spare, do what you like, put and brushed finish, engraved it. Just depends on whether you want to keep what others perceive as the value or what you want it to be.

If you have two identical rolex watches, would you engrave one? I know I would, I'll engrave my name or some king of marking on both of the watches. Bottom line is that they are your mods and you can do what ever you want.

As for the Nemesis, I'd keep it safe. One is none and two is one.

Buy a clone and go to town with it. If you like how it turns out do the same to your real one. But I would have reservations on a high end mod even if it was your backup.

I personally deface everyone of my clones just because I can and it doesn't bother me if I mess up.

If I wasn't happy with the original looks, I wouldn't be paying $200+ for it in the first place.

Thanks for the responses everyone.
Fortunately, the financial aspect is a non issue and I purchased these to stay off of tobacco and enjoy, not resell or sit on a shelf to stare at. I understand that this is my gear so I can do what I want but figured I would ask for opinions for thinking such thoughts.

I realize that you are making a generic statement and agree with what you are saying- we are on the same page.
Having said that, the 2nd Nemesis came with another mech I wanted, at a significant discount.
I like the Nemmies (polished or otherwise) and will be using them both, thus the reason for my question.
I agree with you 100%- I wouldn't buy something for $200+ that won't be used or buy a single, higher end mod that I didn't like the looks of.
We have a much different situation here- I like the polished but I also like variety.
Variety can be tricky to find since the Nemesis isn't always readily available.

I have a second vamo v3 coming, so I've already started defacing my current one. It was the gunmetal color or whatever, but it started fading bad so i began polishing it. most of it came out good until some brass started showing, so I'm either going to wrap it in some cheap carbon fiber wrap I have, or polish it all down to brass
