...think about what you're doing. Consider the implications. Get as much info as you can.

BE CAREFUL!

One of the things I'd read here was replacing cart filler with such things as teabags, coffee filters, blue foam, etc. Well, being a coffee drinker myself, I've got plenty of coffee filters and figured that would be a cheap, quick and easy way to try something out.

Ever get into something and maybe you think you're missing some small, obvious but somewhat irrelevant detail? And then not bother to think about what that may be? Like, whether or not your coffee filters are bleached or unbleached paper?

All day my Marlboro-filled 510 has tasted like burning notebook paper. Hopefully I didn't just commit a very carelessly elaborate suicide by vaping bleach.

Maybe now my wife will understand why I keep telling her that I'm an idiot.

That's a very good concern... The only two mods I've used are blue foam, and the lipton pyramid tea bag... I think those two are fine, but what do I know haha.

That must have tasted horrid! I doubt you were inhaling enough bleach to cause harm... disgust and repulsion? Oh, yuck :( but, yeah - good thing you realized. I wouldn't want to knowingly inhale whatever bleached filter paper would emit. Just the fact that it created the awful taste is reason enough alone to stop using it as cart filler.

Were you able to quickly clear the nasty taste from your atty once you realized?

Well, you drink all your coffee that has been filtered through those very same filters, don't you? I'm not saying you should use coffee filters (mainly because they probably don't work too well) but I wouldn't be too worried about it either. Bad taste is probably the only negative result, in which case you might consider a different kind for your coffee too!

Well I'm glad to tell you all that I did not succumb to bleach poisoning overnight! :D
And after switching filler around, I've found that the dummy flat-tip that came on the atty that I'd put the coffee filter in now appears to be permanently fouled, even after putting in cleaned poly and fresh juice. I also washed out the atty and dried it overnight so I'm back to the basics and everything is fine.
