Ignore Complete Thread or Sub Forum

I find ECF to be a great forum, so this is not a complaint.

It would be a nice feature to add.

Other forums I belong give you the choice to ignore a thread or a sub forum.

It's tough to keep up with the New Posts given the number of posts in sub forums I don't read.

This would make it so much cleaner when clicking on the New Posts link.

Any chance of this happening?

If the option is already available can someone tell me how to use it?

The option is not active here, nor is it likely to be anytime soon, unfortunately. One option is to subscribe (with or without email notification) to only the threads and sub-forums in which you are interested.

It would be a Nice Option.

There are some Sub-Forums, like Foreign Language forums, that I Never look at.

It would be nice if they Didn't come up in the "New Posts" link.

But it is not the End of the World.

Agreed, just looking for a way to thin down the list when I hit New Posts.

I made the same comment/feedback about 4 months ago. It would make things soooo much easier. It's the only forum I belong to without that feature (or something similar)

I have a friend who is a Michigan State Alumni. I use his football ticket from time to time. Several years ago he gave me his Spartans / Buckeye tickets. I was the only one on that side of the field (alumni seats) in scarlet and grey.

unfortunately, this option does not exist but you can avoid all the social groups and quite a few others by clicking on ''what's new' and choosing 'today's post' from the drop-down menu. it does cut down on the fluff

Neither do I, but if the thread title is in English, and the forum name looks something like that, there is going to be a commercial link in there and the poster will have less than 5 posts - all in the same day.

It exists, the forum owner just doesn't want to purchase that extension I believe.

lol, stewie - let me rephrase - this option does not exist for us!

When you start applying more and more filters to a site that has got as big as this the more and more the filters bog things down. It just may not be a good option to run on ECF.

Not what you're asking but you can hit the arrow on the right on the forum title to expand or contract that particular forum.
